In 2006, every Democrat in the Senate voted AGAINST raising the debt ceiling

What a load of crap! Countries are not run like a Fortune 500 company. When will the idiotic right stop blaming the MSM for their own failure? Take responsibility, you know, like what you guys always preach.

Did I say countries were like corporations? Are you now claiming that the Lame Stream Media is "Objective" in their reporting on Obama? Can you honestly claim that you are writing the objective truth? I doubt that.

It was the month of March and the final vote was 52-to-48, with all Democrats and a handful of Republicans voting "no." The debt limit was increased by $781 billion.
From Sen. Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

In 2006, every Democrat in the Senate voted AGAINST raising the debt ceiling (Coralville Courier)

Imagine how Obama has evolved from that day in March 2006, especially now that he has raised the debt limit from $10 Trillion to $17 Trillion in 2013.

And EVERY Republican voted for it so it passed easily without a single Senator threatening a default or demanding a laundry list of partisan hogwash . It is called posturing and has nothing to do with the extortion that is now being attempted. Nice try.

You are right. Here we have every Democratic Party Senator led by Hairy Reid blocking passage of the Bill.

The Great Bush Recession has caused a great shortfall in FIT and payroll taxes. That alone has added the debt.

Amazing, isn't it, over four years after the end of the "Great Recession" and we have approximately 22 million unemployed/under employed/discouraged workers who aren't paying FIT and funding SS and Medicare through payroll taxes. Four years after the end of a recession and if the Republicans were in charge this would be a major issue for Democrats but not now. Just like the Obama quote about the debt ceiling in 2006 it is all about partisan politics with people whose goal is to create that liberal utopia where debt doesn't matter, stagnant economic growth doesn't matter, high unemployment doesn't matter, and the more dependent the better off we all are.

It's all BS. We should remove them all from office when the opportunity presents itself (elections). There should be term limits for Congress. These "career Politicians" have ruined our Country and made us into haters on one side or another.
