Do you know what size pico balloons are? My search came up with they are generally 3' in diameter. Thought the reports of the ones shot down were about the size of a small car.

The club needs to state how big the balloon was that they launched.

Couldn't ever get the wind to blow? Me either.

I have a method to make it rain, but wind, that is probably harder to control.

Use the method and Nature's energy will be spent on the rain cycle and feeding wildlife, mitigating destructive storms, tornados and hurricanes.
 
National Security issues are by their nature reactive. We can wish they were proactive and sometimes they are. For example after we have "reacted" to a few. They will figure it out. Those that want to yammer will yammer.

No, I doubt they made any promise.

There is a good reason, for the way it went, it alerted the public to an issue. If China is to be confronted, why not get the public on board? So it is a good and legitimate exercise. If they had just shot the balloon down above Port Protection, nobody would know, until the show came out.

So you can't dock Biden and the result is probably not intentional.

DIdnt you hear him today? He said that after finding it, they could predict its course and they hardened any facilities from security exposure below it as necessary.

That they didnt want to unnecessarily endanger any lives and that dropping into the sea preserved more of its technological components.

Can you tell me what your issue is with allowing the balloon to continue?
