If Obama wins

Classic Alinsky tactic.

Blame the other party for doing what you do and hope no one is paying attention.

What did I say that was factually untrue?

I think the DoJ needs to reopen that office which investigated right wing terrorism in this country because there sure are some strange words being thrown around.

Please don't take what wrote as a threat; I didn't mean it that way. It was just an observation of the recurrences in history, including our own, and a growing divide among our citizenry.

The GOP in its current state is a dying party, at least on a national level. The ultra far-right has taken over the party and has purged it of most of the more reasonable/moderate members. With changing demographics a lot of experts believe that Texas will be in play in the next decade, if not the next election. Once Texas goes swing, the GOP has little hope of winning on the national level. If the GOP is to survive, it must get the teabaggers under control and try to bring the party back to its more moderate state.

You ignore the Black Panther intimidations at the polling booths, the numerous examples of dead Democrats voting, the brainwashing of appointed minority "leaders" that leads to monolithic voting patterns, the logic of voter identification...it is your party that is bereft of any substance or integrity.

Dude....you seriously need to turn down your right-wing radio. What you wrote here is over the top/drama queen material.

What does any of that have to do with the demographics of the GOP as it will work out over the next forty years?

LOL. You're 180 degrees wrong. It's actually those of us on the Far-Right who have been marginalized in the party. Thus you have Mitt Romney, the former governor of one of the most LIBERAL states in the country as the Republican nominee for POTUS in 2012. There is more Conservatism in my keyboard than there is in Romney's political beliefs.

For the GOP to regain any traction it needs to move to the RIGHT, in order to provide a truly different option to the Democratic Party.

The Department of JustUs is too busy investigating/harassing the Gallup polling organization to do their job...

I hope every single Republican leader and opinion molder follows your advice.

...says the guy with the Rachel Maddow screen saver. Have you looked at Greece, Portugal, etc? There's no one left to turn to when we get to that point. We've been the safety net for everyone else for a long time. There'll be no safety net for us. It'll be game, set, and match.

Then what?

I hope, sincerely, that the GOP goes that direction. It will put the stake in the heart of the party even sooner than expected.

LOL.....seriously dude.....are you for real?

I hope every single Republican leader and opinion molder follows your advice.

I guarantee that if they did, there would be a significant change in the US political system. It might not be the one that I would prefer, but there would definitely be a change. It would also make it much easier to determine who one should be doing business with, associating with, allowing their children to date, etc....

Fine. Then we can stop pretending that elections are the means to change anything in this nation and get down to the business of doing it the right way.

Geez, you're condescending to minorities and women.

Do you believe you have to be a white man to understand the funamentals of economics, the ethics of self determination and personal responsiblity, the value of family tradition and commitment, the limitations of what government can and should do, and the importance of preventing the encroachment on those American ideals?

I have more faith in all people than you apparently.

Erod, you forget Bush vs. Gore, Florida voting problems, and blackbox.com. I don't think the Republican party will die (sorta like a geezer that's just too onergy). However, if they're smart, they will moderate and quit emphasing social controversy. Romney's almost daily speech foopahs aren't helping them. And then again, maybe the Tea people will change to Liberartians and have a competetive third party.

Huh? You think conservatives would tell people who they should associate with and who their children should date? Sadly, you are probably right. Big government conservatives.

Obama didn't propose or enact universal health care. He used Republican and centerist ideas in formulating his health care plan. Obama has no proposed any gun regulations. Obama did not pick a left leaning VP. Obama offered to put SS and Medicare on the table when it came to the debt ceiling debate. No liberal would dare think of putting those programs on the table to begin with. Obama did not get the troops out of Iraq and Afganistan during the first year of his administration. He followed the right leaning plan. He put more troops in Afganistan, which is something that angered the left. The far left are very disapointed with Obama because he went to the center.
Romney is all over the map. However, he picked a far right wing for VP which brought him further to the right. He called himself a sever conservative. He will pander to the GOP, which has gone way too far right over the last few years. Obama is a centerist, Romney moved to the far right to get the votes.

Well I am a white man and I understand and believe in all those things. And I am not voting Republican. So your premise is a false one.

I too have faith in people. I have faith that enough of them understand where their own self interest lies and what is good for their fellow Americans. I have that faith in truckloads.

Huh? You think conservatives would tell people who they should associate with and who their children should date? Sadly, you are probably right. Big government conservatives.

I think if we could ever get the sides clearly defined, both sides would employ that type of tactic. As I tell people all the time, Conservatism isn't about SMALL Government as much as it is about PROPERLY FOCUSED Government.

Not complaining they got ahead by who they know, complaining they get farther ahead because of government regulations, tax laws, etc.

First off mediCARE is paid for out of your payroll taxes. Take a look at your paycheck, you will see the deduction there. So granny damn sure worked for it.

Second, you really are bitter, aren't you? You honestly think all birth defects are because of the mothers lack of self care during pregnancy?

Third, with the views you have towards the health and welfare of your fellow americans, I would assume you have no problem with abortion? Or are you saying those people who are found to be less healthy in the womb, their mothers should be forced to give birth (because to abort would be wrong) so the child can live desperate, painful, miserable lives? (because giving them aid would be wrong too)

Yeah. See, I need those people at the top to keep paying my paycheck every week. The people at the bottom are never going to give me a paycheck on a regular basis.

Yeah, see, that's the wrong mentality. Those people who write your paycheck, they need you just as much as you need them. If it weren't for you, they wouldn't be making the money they make, now would they? You give them an honest days work, they need to give you an honest days pay.

by your definition, the founders of this nation were radical right. Sounds like you need to move to north korea, they have a system of government that would be more to your liking.

Our founding fathers were mixed in their political ideology. Some wanted to rule the nation with biblical laws, some did not. At the end of the debate, the bible and religion was left out of the establishment of our nation. They were not right wing radicals by today's standards. They set up a system that was designed to balance powers and allow the people to pick their leaders. I like our system of government just fine, thank you.

you said that Ryan and cantor were radical right, the main issues those two are pushing is a balanced budget.

THey are pushing more than a balanced budget. They want to do away with all social welfare, and Ryan wants to redefine rape and ban all abortions without exception.

Are you claiming that the GOP doesn't want to end social welare or SS and Medicare? The GOP has proposed to end school lunch programs along with making major cuts to the food stamp program and TANF. Maybe you should do more research on what the GOP has been proposing in washington.
