I am not even a democrat, so I am hardly indoctrinated, I am far to the left of that party, they are a bunch of capitalist idiots, but I can find common ground with them on social issues, so I can comprise by voting for them from time to time this is hardly indoctrination.

I am someone who believes workers ought to have profit sharing, self management, and state ownership in certain organizations is good, so that everyone can be offered a job. So I suppose you could call me a communist if you considered Yugoslavia in the 70s communist, but really socialist would be much more accurate though both words have such distorted meaning as to be nearly meaningless.

Not for burning religious texts. No matter how much of them I don't buy. Especially seeing how the only intent that could be derived from doing so is to incite via hate.

*edit... I guess I should just go ahead and clarify that I'm not into burning any books. The burning of religious texts seems even more ridiculous than most IMO because that gets into retarded religious nuts playing the "my God is better than your God" bullcrap which is particularly idiotic.

nah, hate is not the only intent possible....could just be a sign of protest.

i'm no fan of burning stuff myself... religious book, flags.. whatever.

i'm also no fan of folks thinking we oughta live in fear of butthurt jihadists either.

Jihadists are nothing but the mulsim mirror image of Christian fundamentalists... and perhaps Jewish zionists... pretty much any folk who think they are guided by providence rather than personal responsibility that way they can do the most heinous **** and then dispose of any criticism by placing themselves away from personal responsibility by feigning the excuse that their actions were God's will.

I'm no fan of those jihadists... but I'm equally no fan of that asshat in a park declaring that his God is greater therefore he needs to hibachi grill a Koran.

The best option IMO is to use NATO and the UN to have a world consensus to make Australia a religious nutjob quarantine where we bomb them if they try to obtain nuclear power or build a boat or plane.

I think about being free all the time which is why I don't register as a Republican and become a slave who voluntarily sucks the toes of authoritarianism and then calls it "patriotic" to do so.

Oh please. In most of the developed world American Democrats would be considered conservative and the Republicans are thought of as clueless wackjobs unwilling, or unable, to learn about the world outside of their well-constructed bubble. But that doesn't really matter as this is an instance of a self-labeled Libertarian calling another poster a Communist in yet another indicator of self-imposed political and historical ignorance. One really shouldn't throw pejorative terms at other commenters on the basis of a single post. It's not nice.

first, Communist isn't a pejorative term... the guy I was talking to understood that... he also didn't get butthurt like you did.

2nd, i'm sure you can reconcile lecturing on pejoratives while utilizing terms such as "clueless wackjobs" without being a hypocrite... right?.. nah, didn't think so.

3rd, I don't give a rats ass what Democrats or Republicans are considered anywhere else...it's irrelevant
