The GOP had their barbarians (disruptors) at their gates too. That party handled it by letting them in, growing the size of, and diversity in, their tent, so they are noisier in their elected offices within party discussions, but strengthened the GOP party as a whole.

There are no intraparty discussions in the GOP anymore. You are full MAGA, or you are gone, aside from a few who have the bones to win a primary.

This is probably the worst problem we have. trump made sure that there is nobody in Congress or his cabinet who will stand up to him and tell him when he's wrong. When he makes an obvious boneheaded move, like his tariff trade war, there is no opposition. GOP congresspeople are getting run out of their town halls by angry constituents, and they have to repeat the trump line, then run like hell. People don't like tariffs, they don't like cuts to Medicaid, and they want to support Ukraine.

No, and it's a dumb argument for you to try and make. But some people loudly suggested hanging Mike Pence, and trump certainly didn't discourage that thinking. That's enough to be a problem.

If it falls short of ALL, then you have a problem that needs bridging, and then to answer the question of: If you are going to lump them all together for one date, then what is the problem with the same lumping of together for other dates.

Dumb is pretending that hypocrisy isn't there when it's your OX you want to forgive/excuse/justify while you happily gore the other for doing the same.

Interesting bit of history that.

Twitter, in the old days, was a leftist echo chamber, forced to be so as curated by Dorsey.
Then that leftist echo chamber was taken away when Musk bought Twitter, turned it into X and made it more neutral.
Next, those who can't handle posts which didn't massage their confirmation bias, couldn't handle anything but a leftist echo chamber, fled to BlueSky and re-created their leftist echo chamber.

Those that did simply can't handle others who have the temerity to hold differing opinions and positions other than their own.
That should tell you something. Something important, and those people who fled to BlueSky are the same people who are running our MSM.
