It would be a lot better if people with money, means, and power were more interested in creating a society that was less racist, less exploitative, and more egalitarian. I bet people would be less inclined to riot then, but that's really the crux of the matter: one half of the country likes the periods in American history that were racist, sexist, homophobic, aristocratic, and exploitative. They also probably think they like being forced to work in mine shafts with no ability to collectively bargain for better pay and working conditions, talking about how we should do more real work but wouldn't know shit all about what real work is.

That's BS, Obama deported without due process. There is no way possible to deport as many as his administration did with due process. Do you understand what due process entails? It's not just ICE's actions that are the issue. There's a directive from Stephen Miller to deport 3000 people per day, which is an arbitrary number. Increased ICE activity likely reflects internal agency action to comply with this arbitrary request. This is not really all that different than the systematic deportations of Jews in Nazi Germany.

I didn't really agree with those, either, and as someone who's lived in the Pacific Northwest, I am aware of the anarchist energy there. On the way to work every day, I had to walk past dozens of people who set up encampments in local parks, didn't bathe, shat all over the place, yelled obscenities at passers by merely for wearing business casual, and called it a movement against Wall Street and the 1% back in the early 2010s. But as distasteful as they were, at least they didn't try to overthrow the federal government.

In Nazi Germany (1942) there was a directive by Hitler to deport and exterminate all Jews in Germany and Europe.
DHS wants to deport illegal aliens, not exterminate them.
