ICE agents denied entry to Dodger Stadium

ICE, Border Patrol, whichever. Semantics.

So much for all those fake claims that immigration enforcement officials aren't following the law!

I am not familiar with those claims.

it sure mattered to MAGA earlier.

Now you’re moving on to conspiracy theories…

ICE wasn’t there.

So ICE was not there, despite being accused of being there, correct?

Why hasn't anyone questioned the very basic point of professionalism in the U.S. industry called by some 'journalism'? I'm asking that because of what I'll show you below:

That bold font was just as it was shown on the page I landed on from that link.

BUT, how about that three-hour thirty-four minute delay? I assume that "Editor's Note" was the result of somebody telling the editor they screwed up.

Sorry, folks. I ain't buying this crap. That was intentional. The contents of the rest of the article pretty much shows that some boss (owner) was licking the boots of some Dem politician as a favor or some such thing.

I mean, what would be the purpose of including something about singing some song in Spanish, instead of English?

Plain and simple, that article is some Dem propaganda piece. And you Dem folks are blabbing all around here about them former Nazi folks and something about fascism and you can't recognize that very style tactic being used right under your noses by your own political party? You folks are either blinded by your politics; or you are seriously stupid.

Good thing I'm too old to do stand-up comedy, because that one article is worth a lot of cash for a nightclub act.

By the way, I'm leaning toward you're "blinded" not you're "stupid" although some of you write like 5th grade students.

*Sang the song in Spanish* - - - WHY NOT FRENCH!? I mean wasn't it the French military that them Mexican rebels had to fight? Let's have a Dodgers/Padres game in Mexico and ALL communications is in French. Teach umps and all players all the vocabulary they need in French. Anybody around this Community good with French?

ICE is their newest boogieman. IDS

I am not familiar with those claims.

There's a whole other thread about it. I wouldn't bother though, because it's a bunch of far-leftists screeching about conspiratorial nonsense.

it sure mattered to MAGA earlier.

Cool. That doesn't really have anything to do with me or anything I've posted here.

You can carry the water for jackboots all you’d like. Don’t expect me to do the same 🤷‍♀️
I didn't realize not making shit up was the equivalent of "carrying water." But you go ahead and make up all the shit you want. It's so brave of you.

DHS appears to be lying about this.

"The Department of Homeland Security, meanwhile, said it was Customs and Border Protection agents who were at the stadium, but not for an operation. However, at least some of the vehicles outside Dodger Stadium were believed to have been involved in an immigration raid at a Home Depot in Hollywood earlier in the morning, where several people were seen being arrested.

Emily Phillips, an Echo Park Rapid Response community member, shared photos with The Times of two vehicles that were at both the Hollywood Home Depot and Dodger Stadium on Thursday, as identified by their license plates. Phillips also said a CBP officer at Dodger Stadium told her the agents were there to process the people they had arrested.

“We bring the detainees here to process them and conduct our investigation without public interference,” the agent said, according to Phillips, who wrote down his quote. “We can’t do it in the Home Depot parking lot because the public makes it dangerous.”"

Cool. That doesn't really have anything to do with me or anything I've posted here.

The feint has run its course. :D

federal agents were using the parking lot of dodger stadium to stage their harassment campaign against democratic Los Angeles.
Evidence?

Only the most extreme right wing biased individuals would think that the distinction you misleadingly made was meaningful.
It is a significant difference. ICE and CBP are not the same agency, and don't have the same authority.

Not sure who you're taking a dig at there, but okay.

Just thinking if the timing.

Once the diversion that it wasn't ICE has run its course it's OK to argue that it's "just semantics."

Except there's video (even on the evening news here) of them all camped outside the main parking entrance.

UNLESS, as many of us have pointed out, they were posers.....when you mask yourself and don't wear identification or proper uniforms..........................
Care to retract any of this yet?

Ah yes, here we have the "Libertarian" taking the ****ing immigration cops' word for it. The ****ing jokes write themselves.
Like your post? That kind of joke?

Yes, CBP and ICE and cops in general are inveterate ****ing liars. What POSSIBLE cause would the Dodgers have to make this up?
I don't recall claiming the Dodgers made anything up. Law enforcement officers were clearly there. The Dodgers were just ignorant about who they were because nobody gets the fact that there are multiple agencies involved in immigration matters. Hell, even most news stories **** up CBP by calling it Customs and Border Patrol.

Meanwhile we know ICE does Gestapo shit on a daily basis to meet Stephen Miller's insane 3000/day goal, they are invariably going into public places to kidnap people.
Hide from that sky that's falling.

What "plan" would you find acceptable?
A plan that included a path to citizenship for those who have been here and are contributing to the great good.
A plan that would include someway to get seasonal workers in and out of the country for seasonal jobs.
After so many years of working this way they could have a path to citizenship.
A plan that actually went after the criminals including employers who take advantage of illegal immigration.
A plan that did not include sending people to third world prisons.

What were they doing 159 miles from the border at Dodger Stadium?
Perfect ilustration of the complete and total ignorance of what CBP does.

They were less than fifteen miles from the coast, which is a border, even though the closest point of ocean water is not a designated port of entry. They were about twenty miles from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

They were less than thirteen miles from Los Angeles INTERNATIONAL Airport, which is the functional equivalent of the border.

They were 37 miles from Ontario INTERNATIONAL Airport, which is the functional equivalent of the border.

They were 18 miles from Long Beach INTERNATIONAL Airport, which is the functional equivalent of the border.

There are dozens (hundreds?) of bonded warehouse facilities scattered around the Los Angeles area.

They were also right next to the LAPD Academy and may have been doing something there.

They could have been doing any number of things. That they were 159 miles from what you thought you knew was the border doesn't mean anything.

The government’s statements aren’t exactly trustworthy on their face right now and should not be used as evidence without independent verification.
They're employed by the world's pre-eminent liar; Donald J Trump. That's all you need to know.
That's quite the convenient narrative you've cooked up for yourselves. "I can make up whatever dumb**** shit I feel like, then I get to claim it's true just because I don't want to believe what someone else says."

It looks like they were there to process undocumented immigrants that they had busted earlier at Home Depot.

Looks like they're lying about this.

"According to a CBP official who maintained there were no operations related to the MLB club, U.S. Customs and Border Protection vehicles were in a nearby parking lot on or near the grounds and one of them had a car malfunction that caused them to stay longer."

Doesn't match.

What "doesn't match?"

Sounds like they were there, then decided to leave but one of their vehicles broke down so some had to stay longer. I don't see the problem.
