I was shocked

When we have scientifically proven facts available and we have clear dis-information floating around the internet everywhere, I do believe we need a way to take down the bad information. I have no idea how we get around the 1st amendment, but clearly, there is a problem.

Suppose the 1A didn't exist. Would you then support government censorship?

What really chaps my arse, is the money being made from this bad information. Some folks have made a business out of lying to people.

I can't think of a bigger liar than the state itself. For just one example, consider that to this day, the federal government declares (and backs up with force), the idea that Marijuana has a high potential for abuse, has no medical use whatsoever, and is generally unsafe.

If you hire people to do a job you typically hire the people that are good at the job regardless of whatever pock means. And if they are skilled you pay them well so you that you can keep them.

It's amazing people don't know this.
We have an awful lot of folks living in poverty in red southern states. I wonder why? Unless you are a top tier engineer of some other type of professional, the job market generally pays the lowest amount possible to keep their workers. It's amazing people don't know this with the amount of poverty we have in america.

If you're scared of droplets stay the hell away from me. You were not entitled to my compliance.
We had a loudmouth at my work who bragged that he would never wear a mask at work. He ended up wearing the mask. It’s funny how the ”I will not comply” people “comply“ everyday to all sorts of things. It’s weird how the pandemic has turned otherwise rational people into whiney little babies.

Ironically the only reason we need to wear masks is because idiots are still unvaccinated.

Try this.

Maybe you should stop plagiarizing.

Yeah I know what is with these idiots demanding everyone wear a mask and get "vaccinated.". I've never heard anybody ever demanded be vaccinated against anyting before.

I don't know why you're whining about this. Just stay away from me.

People living in poverty is typically due to lack of education, lack of skill poor choices drug addiction and so forth.

Good job market pays you what you're worth if you want to make more money acquire more skills, take on more risk or work more hours.

If you can find somebody that will pay you more for your skills then you quit working for the person who pays you less and go to the person who pays you more that's how I do it. but in order to do that you have done for work ethic you have to have skills or you have to take risks.

You don't get paid $26 an hour to flip burgers any moron can do that.

I already had covid so preach this fear nonsense to someone more gullible.

You can pretend wearing your stupid doctor costume protects you I simply know better than that.

Hi, for the last time on this particular thread!

Thank you again for your response.

Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n remember the Big 5.

This is just sad.

Refusing to wear a mask doesn't make you Superman. Getting 2 vaccines, 2 boosters and wearing a mask doesn't make you a patriot.

We're dealing with a contagious disease in a world where individual liberty is the rule, rather than the exception. Nobody that's wearing a mask or refusing a vaccine, as far as I have seen or heard, is conspiring to force anyone else to make those decisions. On the other hand we have a lot of people (and a lot of government) that IS pushing mandates for masks, vaccines and other measures as well as penalties for failing to comply with those mandates. That's quite a distinction and it's the core of the disagreement so many are having. If the default mandate for government is to preserve and protect individual freedom then we really need to make sure that matters where personal freedom might be restricted are given GREAT consideration and that the LEAST restrictive measures necessary are taken. That's not where we are right now.

There is a feeling many people (not just in America) that governments are restricting freedoms based less on need and more on political posturing. I mean, it was pretty crazy that you had to wear a mask indoors at all times and ESPECIALLY during that 30' trek to your table where, once seated, you and everyone around you was safe enough that your mask was no longer required...unless you're on an airplane. Being seated on an airplane is somehow completely different than being seated in a restaurant. It is also interesting how masks are mandatory unleess you're participating in some kind of event tied to political interests. Be it fundraising dinners, birthday parties or events at 10 Downing masks are for the little people, not the elite.

How much "do as I say, not as I do" should the people of the world be expected to tolerate? How much, "It's the science!!!" followed by another relocation of the goalposts should we just accept as "necessary"? At what point to we get back to the principles of "least restrictive measures necessary" as opposed to "just in case that black swan lands at our feet"?

The vaccine in The mask thing it's more about politics again if people saw me walking around without a mask and it was that big a deal to them they would just stay away from me

I like that poster. What we have right now is the MSM taking orders from the Democrats on how to control the populace and using propaganda and the people who are in favor of masks and vaxs to control the populace through applause when a president says to fire brave first responders, ignoring the science that masks do nothing, and ignoring the conti9nual goalpost moving by unelected health officials.

I think it's just Petty tribalism. These idiots couldn't change a lightbulb without a committee decision.

This tribal situation was created by the new media which gets to hire radical left-wingers, give them a new suit or dress, coiffed hair, and makeup, put them on prime time, and yell and scream at everyone that if they are not a left-winger they are racist white separatist and will kill us all. They get to call these blithering idiots "NEWS" reporters for no reason other than they have a gig at a FORMER news station like CNN or MSNBC or some printed paper like WaPo or the NY Times. They are no more of a reporter than AOC or Joy Reid but they are indoctrinating AQmerioca and dividing it nightly and at the insistence and direction of the Democrats, starting with the most divisive president of all, Barak Obama.

That only works on left wingers and only for a little while.

Good job markets in blue cities? I notice you live in houston and I still stand by my comment most jobs pay the least they can to keep their workers. Those other things are just stuff you guys tell each other to make your america sound wonderful.

Honey, the children are calling names again. Can you round them up and give them a talking to about manners again.

I agree. I'm not vaccinated myself and don't wear a mask unless required to because I HAVE to be somewhere that requires them. I'm not doing this to flip anyone the bird but because I have not been terribly succeptible to colds and viruses my entire life. Furthermore, as soon as the propaganda campaigns start I tune out and go looking for results I can see. The fact of the matter is that there has been an assumption from day one that someone without a mask was infected and was going to kill everyone around them. That's not what was happening. It was also presumed that anyone that caught Covid was going to die or, at a minimum, have a lifetime of debilitating fallout nfrom the virus. That didn't happen either. Yes, lots of people got sick. Yes, some people died. We've been told over and over that Covid caused all these deaths but after looking at the available data it appeared that around 90% of the deaths occurred in people that were at great risk of dying from all manner of infections. Covid was a "contributing factor", not a direct cause.

I know LOTS of people that have had Covid and I know a few that have died. I even know of one that may have died directly from Covid but I know a whole lot more people that have generally gone about their lives and not been all that negatively impacted.

Don't live in fear of your neighbor just because they don't see the world as you do and show a little grace and compassion for those around you. Treat others as you would like to be treated and, eventually, we will get past Covid and move on to the next panic that requires us to change the world order.

"[Trump] is so hateful and ignorant"

Yes, Trump absolutely is hateful and ignorant; not to mention that he is a thief (documented), a fraudster (documented) , and indulges in race discrimination (documented). This "very stable genius" also told you that wind turbines cause cancer, and that he thinks nuking hurricanes will stop them.

You want the government to decide how much a high skool dropout makes or ?

Whether you like it or not there is something different about this virus than others that are not as deadly. It has effected the whole world. You all got this one wrong. Even Trump is coming around. You don’t have to fight against everything . You don’t need to make everything political.

I already had covid so preach this fear nonsense to someone more gullible.

You can pretend wearing your stupid doctor costume protects you I simply know better than that.
Awesome; you're immune for life now, and no Coronavirus can touch you! You clearly know very little-and perhaps you could tell the doctors and nurses in your local hospital that their 'costumes' are stupid. I'm sure your comment would attract all the sympathy it deserves from them.

I already had covid everyone in my family did. My parents who are 69 + 67 barely had any issues. I had a fever for a few hours and some chest congestion for a couple of days.

The fear-mongering could no longer work on me after that. I have experience and I know better than you.

So spooky scary things might happen to you is all talk and it means nothing.
I wonder how many of the 5+millions of dead people had the same dismissive and arrogant mindset as you. Sadly they can't tell us.

Right they pay the least they can to keep their workers. If they keep them than it's clearly enough.
