Earlier this morning, I dropped of my wife's and my ballots in the drop box a few blocks away. There was a middle aged woman loitering near the Drop Box. I said Goodmorning , and she said Hello or Hi . . . .

I put the ballots in the Drop Box and as I turned to head towards the street she said "I noticed that you put more than one ballot in the Drop Box."

"Indeed I did."
I said. I continued walking towards the street. She kinda yelled "I'm with the Citizen's Coalition For Ballot Integrity. (or some fictitious, nonexistent group) and I'm investigating voter fraud."

I replied "Bye". and left. She mumbled something I couldn't understand.

I've been voting for more than 50 years and I've never been challenged or questioned or suspected of wrongdoing - - until today. The woman was obviously a democrat - - she was wearing a denim coat, and republican women would NEVER wear denim above the waist (unless they are camping).

Some might not consider this harassment or intimidation, but it was. The woman had no business speaking about the ballots or the election. I shoulda reported her.

Sounds like this is another Walt story.

I have a hard time believing you're serious with the Denim comment. But, for all others on here that might take you seriously. ⏬⏬⏬

In my state MAGAS are the ones told to do this. You should have asked her.

“Stop the Steal” conspiracy theories are coming for swing state ballot boxes

Election-denying poll watchers are casting a shadow on the 2022 midterms.

In the lead-up to the November midterm elections, groups that have allied themselves with former President Donald Trump and Republicans have encouraged people to stake out polling sites — with the explicit goal of building a case to challenge election outcomes, introducing a new facet to the efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Early voting locations in Arizona have already been the sites of some high-profile incidents of alleged or potential voter intimidation. In one incident, two armed people in tactical gear and affiliated with the group Clean Elections USA were seen at a ballot drop box in Mesa, Arizona. After two nonprofit groups filed suit last week against Clean Elections USA, alleging voter intimidation, a federal judge ruled that the group’s tactics did not amount to a “true threat” and that activists were allowed to gather at the ballot boxes.
Arizona has been the site of several alleged instances of voter intimidation, but similar incidents are happening elsewhere — including in swing states like Pennsylvania, as Mary McCord, executive director of Georgetown University’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection, told PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff Thursday.
Axios reported earlier this week that members of extremist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys are being encouraged to sign up as volunteers in local election offices, putting people who wish to disrupt elections alongside the volunteer force that is a critical part of the election process. And groups like True the Vote and One More Mission which have the financial and logistical support of some well-known Trump insiders — are mobilizing volunteers.

Sounds like this is another Walt story.
Another 'Walt' story? LOL That makes no sense.

Do you have some intelligent insights with regards top the topic? No?

Ok, so this is not unusual nowadays because of all of the watchdog groups that sprung up.

If you hadn't already posted the story about your friend, this might seem more believable.

If both stories are true, you might want to examine the common thread.

You have no comment about what happened at the Ballot Box - you only question that it even happened.

OK.

I honestly don't know why you people find it so incredible, and accuse me of making it up. This stuff happens all the time.

I think it was a mild form of intimidation. The woman had no right to be loitering at the box and she had no right to challenge me about using the box.

She wore denim so she's not a republican? Okay boomer or older.

It might have been Melania undercover.

I figured that denim comment would trigger some backlash. Just not quite this much! :D

But she really was wearing a denim jacket. And she was unlawfully impeding my right to vote.

Notice that the drop-off ballot boxes are always located in traditionally Democratic establishments like schools, libraries, and community centers. Never at churches or police/fire stations.

The woman was obviously a democrat
Uhuh, sure sure. First of all, if you are going to make THAT assumption, I question if your story is even real, or posted just so you can make a claim about Democrats.
And if the story IS real, notice her language:
"I'm with the Citizen's Coalition For Ballot Integrity.
WHICH SIDE is constantly riling it's side up about ballot integrity? You really thought your BS partisan assumption was going to fly?

I think you made the name of the group up out of thin air.

That's not true. In my previous state we dropped off at the police station.

Citizen's Coalition For Ballot Integrity does not appear to exist, at least according to google.

WHICH SIDE is constantly riling it's side up about ballot integrity?
What a stupid question. Stick to the topic, please. Did the woman have a a right or the authority to challenge me? That is the intelligent question that needs to be answered.

You really thought your BS partisan assumption was going to fly?
another stupid question. LOL

You have no evidence of that.

More than likely, she was MAGA terrorist.

Report her then.

Thanks for the morning humor. Alas, they are Republicans.
