I stand in awe of massive liars like Hannity and Limbaugh and how they hold/held their audience.

T.

What you have is billionaires like the Koch brothers who are taking trillions from the American people, w
Daily chuckle.
Trillions! they just took it.

The lies are obviously to numerous to list so let's just take two random recent ones.

  • COVID is the common cold
  • Joe Biden is lazy

When you can lie to that level (and, again, that's just two small examples) and so often and still have an audience so dedicated to you that they'd fight for your honor and trust you explicitly then that's a very, very special talent.

I say that those two are in the Hall of Fame of Liars. And that Hall of Fame has a special room for the All Time Con Men. Their faces appear both places.
They are both very good at what they do/did. It IS a special talent.

The main point it boils down to is economics, more specifically neoliberal economics. Chris Hedges' speeches about despair do a great job of explaining it.

Right, but that doesn't address my point that right-wing plutocratic economics are even worse than neoliberal economics, and they get away with getting people to vote for plutocracy by attacking Democrats which includes both neoliberals and progressives.

I was responding to a post by Antiwar. I'm not looking for YOUR interpretation of HIS unfounded assertion.

You might want to find out what a discussion forum is, but since you don't know, I'll plan not to waste more time with you.

Telling me twice to read what Chris Hedges (whoever he is) said, is not an answer to my question.
I gave some examples. There are plenty more. I'm not going to write a speech; I referenced a speech that explains it.

You ask for more information yet you call my comment unfounded?

Limbaugh is dead and right wing radio is fading fast. It was a cultural blip.

If it's not worth your time for you to discuss what you are asserting, it's not worth my time to look at someone else's opinion. Carry on.

I asked "how so?" Referring me to someone else's opinion is not an answer. I guess I should have expected less.

Well, they were the only ones telling the truth about the fake Russia investigation. Oh, and also the Hunter laptop fiasco.
And they called out Biden for being incompetent. You don't believe that yet, do you? That's OK. You will.
The media? Well, they just kept pushing the DNC propaganda. And some of you just ate that stuff up. Baaaaa... Baaaaa...

So, let's see. Who's the liar?
Its interesting when such absurd jokes are posted!!!!

Russia is going to invade Ukraine and Trump enabled that and you are still don't get it.

Well, in #42 I was replying to someone else. What is your concern with my comments in this thread?

How about you support your "unfounded" claim?

Relax. You don't ever have to worry about Rush Limbaugh offending your dainty sensibilites any more.
True, Rush is still, like Lucy, with a lot of 'splainin' to do at the Pearly Gates. "I know I spread hatred and division, but look at my Medal of Freedom!... Oh, he will have a lot of 'splainin' to do also."

That you seem to only be identifying Democratic neoliberal economics as a problem, without acknowledging the even worse Republican plutocratic policies and how they get people to support them by attacking the Democrats as 'elites' - though you're right that the neoliberal criticisms otherwise are right.
