If I have a choice, supporting Trump being a dictator is far more preferable to supporting a side who is anti 2A, for the murder of fetuses, is anti-business, for open borders, high crime, and can't even define what a woman is. I love Trump attempting to absolutely destroy the woke policies of the left, including DEI which means promote diversity through discrimination. Give me a democrat who is against all that and I'll vote for them.
Sounds like white fake christian nationalism to me 🤷‍♀️

Where society caters to Christian white men, screw everyone else.

Don’t forget to starch the hood.

This is like the whining of a child. This country was founded with the idea in mind that government of man by man is likely to be inherently evil, so if we have to vote for the lesser of two evils, that's what grown-ups have to do. But the notion that dictatorship would be a welcome relief based on the points you mention is wrong.

The first reason it's wrong is that it would willfully violate the US Constitution, and as citizens, we're really supposed to uphold it - the problem comes in cases where we disagree as to its meaning, but that's not a good reason to prefer dictatorship.

The second reason it's wrong is that the points you make are nonsense.

KBJ was not supposed to clarify her position on trans women while being vetted for an SC position which virtually guarantees that she'll be participating in a ruling about the issue.

Obama deported illegals at a higher rate in his term than Trump did in his first term, so you have no warrant to say Democrats are fine with open borders.

Blue states have managed to reduce their rates of violent crime under Democrats, and red states haven't.

Finally, Clinton and Obama lowered the national debt, while Reagan, Bush, Jr., and Trump all increased it. Yes, it went up under Biden, too, but you treat him as if he's the only Democrat, and then you say who cares if we turn into a dictatorship. Listen to yourself.

You are presenting a very unfair and unbalanced vision of Democrats.
I said high crime rates, without saying anything about violent crime. The left want to talk about violent crime only and brag that a big city's violent crime went down from 10,000 cases to 9500 cases, while all crime went up from 100,000 cases to 150,000 cases. And, let's remember that while Biden was in there the FBI claimed that "violent crime" went down and then had to update their figures afterward, showing that that wasn't really the case.

You people react in the most extreme ways.

Anybody who disagrees even a bit with your leftist fundamentalism is Hitler.

So, I was wondering which part of the left you feel you are from. Just curious about how it breaks down.
Socialists and communists don't seem to be rating highly in your poll, maybe you guys should start calling the folks on the left something else?

Let me try to help you out if I may? What you are actually noticing is most folks on here don't care for republican politics and it might have something to do with the big tent folks are mostly white by an overwhelming ratio who support corporate America over themselves. Gotta' keep the job creators happy, right, so I'll vote against a union to keep my shitty right to work state job. After that I'm then told I don't know what people's best interests are and for the most part, that's correct but I'm positive being dirt poor generation after generation is not in their best interests and yet they keep voting republican generation after generation...and there is no denying a large part of the GOP are flat out racists.

Yes, you are not at all what you claim you are.

You are not in any way liberal, that's for sure.

I would never be able to explain it to you based on what you just wrote. You have drunk the blue kool aid and wouldn't be able to comprehend. Get back to me when you aren't so indoctrinated and I'll tay to explain it to you. Maybe you could start by re-writing the nonsense that you just wrote. I can't debate nonsense. It's just nonsense.
The trouble is that his wasn't nonsense or blue kool aid. What I wrote is all objectively true. I guess that's the problem.

Because huge numbers of Democrats and Democratic legislators are not anti-2nd A, fetuses aren't legal persons and therefore can't be murdered, ending USAID did ruin farmers with USAID contracts, tariffs are going to ruin small business.

Obama did in fact deport illegals at a higher rate than Trump did in his first term, and the word "woman" can be interpreted ambiguously as referring to human sexual female adults or human female gendered adults. So this isn't about indoctrination.

You'll be able to explain it when you can answer my question: Is renouncing the use of military force to take Greenland a woke, progressive policy or is it just a policy that should go without saying because of course the US should not engage in military aggression and imperialistic behavior?

You know very well this isn't nonsense. Everything above is all about objective empirical fact, whereas your accusations of the Democrats are based on exaggerations, extreme individual examples or examples without any context, etc. You just want to own the libs because, subconsciously, you know they're right and are ashamed of your ignorance or insecure about what you're saying. Just wait till the end of the year, and you'll understand from the results of Trump's decisions.

What is liberal? Do I care if people of the same sex are attracted to each other? Not at all. Do I care if races mix? Not at all. I do however think we should have a balanced budget every year and if the politicians can't do their job, they do not get paid until they do balance the budget and no back pay when they finally do their job. I'm also for diversity, equity and inclusion. You can have your robot friends who all bow to the king.

What you wrote was objectively NOT true. It was pure blue kool aid. Re-write it without the blue kool aid and I'd be glad to respond.

And version 2 of that, is to try to use the power of the judicial branch, by judge shopping and by flooding the system with so many lawsuits, that the executive branch is severely hindered or even halted.

Exactly as it should be done against a tyrant.

Naziism rhetoric.

Trumps current tariff policies are anti-business and his administration is trying to roll back due process.

And what does moderate right mean? Just left of Hitler? Nice job putting fascist as one of the choices. Very impressive. Do you support the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist seditionist felon serial adulterer and tax cheat?

I was a fiscal conservative and one could say a "neoconservative" in terms of my positions on foreign policy. My position has changed to progressive populist. I could also be inclined towards democratic socialism and I am also "Woke through and through" but you only gave me the ability to select one option.

Now that's some character development! 👏

That is what she does. Since the facts are uncongenial to her point of view, she resorts to name calling.

And yet he is now dismantling it with the help of the Supreme Court
Democracy in the US is alive and well. Our last election proved that.

What Trump is dismantling is not democracy. It is the control of the Globalists and, to a lesser extent (right now), the hold on our government by those who support the Globalists.

Globalists Globalists

While that's true and I agree, the reality is there are no other options. That's just the reality. It's got to the point where you pick a side because, as much as you don't like them, the other side is tons worse. That's where I am. I prefer voting and voting for option 3 (who is guaranteed to lose) is just a complete waste of time. Might as well just stay home and binge Gilligan's Island reruns. I guess that is where you have landed. The left are just so far gone I don't much care what awful things Trump does or even if actually takes democracy away. His dictatorship would be a welcome relief when compared to the progressive woke agenda who can't even define what a woman is and is just fine with totally open borders, high crime, and runaway national debt.
Yes, that’s where I am. I’ve voted third party in three of the last four presidential elections. It was important to me to get my vote officially registered as being against both. 2012 I lost faith in Obama and didn’t trust Romney with his façade of going from a liberal governor to a staunch conservative. I voted for Gary Johnson or more accurately, against both major party candidates. Any third name on the ballot would have done. 2016, I was so disgusted with both Clinton and Trump, it was Gary Johnson once more. 2020, I voted for Biden just to get rid of Trump and last year, Chase Oliver was my choice.

I only vote for a major party candidate when I want that candidate to win. None of this lesser of two evils, the least worse candidate or the candidate I want to lose the least. I did vote for G.W. Bush twice and for McCain. My first vote for the presidency was in 1968 when one had to be 21. Since then I’ve voted third party six times including twice for Ross Perot who I wanted to win, The others were against both major party candidates wanting to officially register my vote as being against both.

Yeah, kind of how the right likes to call anyone who disagrees with them even a bit "socialist", "communist", "Marxist", "libtard", etc.

I don't know why y'all think you have a moral high horse to sit up on in this. Your side is no better than those who you condemn.

I'm hoping the No Labels party gets somewhere but, during these times when resistance has grown a lot to both parties, voters now seem to be voting more than ever for one of the two big parties, just to make sure the other guy (or gal) doesn't win. Back in the Gary Johnson days, Libertarians hoped to get 10% of the vote. Chase Oliver said he'd be happy getting 2% of the vote, finally getting 1%.

The Libertarian Party will go nowhere as long as they continue to just run candidates for the presidency with a few senate and governor races. For a third party to be successful, it must start at the grass roots level. State legislatures, mayors, county commissioners, etc. Which the libertarians don’t bother with.

As a former member of the Reform Party, we were also top driven with Ross Perot. But we did get elected 350 state legislatures, 27 county commissioners and a governor. Then Pat Buchanan hijacked the Reform Party in 2020 and most of us originals left. But prior to that hijacking, we were working at the grass roots level, running candidates for the lower offices.

Yes, when choosing between the two major parties, people do seem to be voting against a candidate, not for any candidate. 24% of those who voted last year voted against either Trump or Harris, they didn’t vote for either major party candidate. 24% also voted against a major party candidate in 2020, 31% voted against either Trump and Clinton in 2016 with 6% choosing third party candidates with the remaining 25% choosing the lesser of two evils, the least worse, or the major party candidate they wanted to lose the least.

You'll have to point out what was objectively not true then. Be specific on your points, and if possible, provide links, because I'm pretty sure there are reliable links for every fact I offered.

I'm pretty sure that people who work in Social Security offices across the nation aren't related to Globalism.

That was me. The left have gone so far to the left that they have fallen off the edge of the Earth, proving that the Earth is indeed flat. I would have voted for anyone to beat the democrats and I did. And, no matter what Trump does, I don't think I would ever want to find a time machine and go back and change my vote. If democrats want me to start considering them again they have to regain their sanity and become a moderate party. And yet they are doing the exact opposite. Progressives now run the DNC.
