I Need A Republican To Tell Me Which Of These Statements About Jan 6 Are True...

Because their actions were connected to the rally and not the protest crowd.
How do you know that for sure? Jones and Bannon could have had more involvement in Jan 6 that we don't know about.

That's why the Jan 6 Committee is investigating them. You don't know what evidence they have so far so you should just be quiet about it.

Yes, Trump is full of shit. And you look even more pathetic defending him.
Why do they do it?

I don't care how naive it sounds. If Dems had done even a fraction of what Trump Republicans attempted, I've zero doubt the majority of their base would have turned on them. Zero.

Frankly II think it possible that Alex Jones was just rabble rousing in DC...possible

Bannon...knew too much about what was going to happen on 1/6 and was trying to be too cute by a half with his radio show broadcasts and he was part of the Willard Hotel War Room crew.

Clearly the Oath Keepers and other violent groups were trying to get to the ballot boxes that day. Regardless of what else they were trying to do, the actual target was the ballot boxes. Taking hostages...a means to an end...the ballot boxes. Bringing guns from caches around DC to hold the Capitol after taking hostages ....a means to an end.....the ballot boxes.

Pressuring Pence was another aspect to the coup d'tat attempt, the fraudulent state elector certificates was another aspect of the coup d'tat attempt. Confiscating the voting machines using whatever powerful institution was at Trump's disposal was another aspect of the coup d'tat attempt. Pressuring state election officials was another aspect of the coup d'tat attempt.

Trump and the gang left no stone unturned. But the OK's were depending on the Capitol riot to provide a cover that was to allow the OK's and other violent groups to make their way into the Capitol and take control of the ballot boxes taking hostages along the way and ultimately bringing firearms to the Capitol in order to hold it and the hostages while they disposed of the ballots.

I would find it very likely Bannon and every one of the Willard Hotel War Room plotters complicit in all of it including the violence at the Capitol. They as Bannon himself states "are not reasonable men". I would find it very likely that Trump was complicit as well simply because he literally left no stone unturned in his coup d'tat, his effort to steal the election and maintain power by any means including ignoring the advice of actual legal counsel that did not have bats in the belfry in order to pursue ideas from the loons:
Sydney Powell (now sectioned from practicing and soon to be sanctioned further)
Mike Flynn (not an attorney)
Mike Pillow Boy (not an attorney)

It's not naive. I will never understand it, either.

It could not be more obvious how full of shit Trump is, yet they will never stop defending him.

No Democratic voter would ever tolerate something like Jan 6 from their elected officials or their supporters. Republicans simply lack that fundamental decency.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bannon was working hand-in-hand with the Oath Keepers. That certainly explains his reluctance to testify to the Jan 6 Committee.

Bannon himself is a white supremacist, he's done everything except formally announce it.

It's because he keeps conflating what the rally was doing, along side what happened with the riot.
Nothing more than the same kind of dishonest tactic that you normally see on this sort of platform.
That's true. And they dismiss the fact that the riot was going on before Trump finished talking over a mile away.

Nobody dismisses it. Its just not relevant. Those truly attempting entry at the Capitol had radio communications. It was not at all difficult for conspirators at the Ellipse to communicate with conspirators at the Capitol. They could easily have fed off each other:

"the speeches are ending and the crowd is starting to move toward the Capital"

return:
"We are beginning to move on the barricades"

Thus both communicating with each other and feeding off each other.

Gee, a radio....who'd of thunk it!

This is telling:

The Republican lawmakers/leaders took less than a year (in many cases) to change what they said about Jan 6th. They condemned it within hours, days of the attack, but now they go back to gaslighting and downplaying it, mostly for the favor of the defeated former President.

I think the "legitimate political discourse" statement by the RNC last week is going to haunt the Republican Party for decades. It shows that the Republican Party basically has no remorse for what happened on Jan 6. They are a cancer on this country.

Maybe the public hearings by the Jan 6 Committee in a few weeks will cause more erosion of Republican support in time for the 2022 election. One can hope anyway.

Oh, brother. You are SOOOOOOOO desperate it's almost pitiful.

Totally laughable desperation and totally off the point. It's not whether or not they could talk to each other; the point is that people listening to the speeches - thousands of them - weren't the ones rioting and invading the Capitol. You guys passant nonsense that Trump using the word "fight" comprised the cause of the riot it just plain idiotic.
Funny how you guys can use the "mostly peaceful" trope to excuse the billions of dollars of damage and dozen of deaths YOUR militant supporters caused throughout the summer.

Some of them were and some were not. If you are trying to push the narrative that none of the people on the Ellipse eventually ended up at the Capitol beating cops, breaking and entering and defiling the place. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

You didn't see the most recent videos from DOJ that show people walking down to the Capitol from the Ellipse spitting venom and claiming they would drag out the politicians etc etc.

Now how many of them were active conspirators is up for conjecture. That there were conspirators is not. Do you really want to be making the case that there were no conspirators? Do you really want to be making the case that all from the Ellipse that committed violence were incited to such violence by the speeches given at the Ellipse. Actually that is the argument Navarro tried to make, desperate to distract from the actual coup d'tat planners.

You don't seem to understand the concept of conspiracy. It takes planning. I don't see a way for you to ever understand what happened on and around 1/6 under the circumstances. You should likely not participate in these threads.

It's more pitiful that you defend the indefensible. Every single day.

January sixth hits too close to home for too many of them. There are no libs for them to blame, so it doesn't sit right with them.

All that's left is trolling, distraction, sniveling, and cowardice.

They simply need to change the subject from this:

The photo reminded me of another "Right" contradiction. Their claim of Police support

Pitiful that you've been so thoroughly brainwashed.

You're the one who believes Jan 6 was "legitimate political discourse" with innocent people being arrested.

So, yeah, that's pretty ****ing pitiful.

Not saying NO ONE went from the Elipse to the riots; sorry, I thought that would be obvious. But I doubt it was more than a few.

See the above.

That's ridiculous.

Again, ridiculous.

I haven't see that, but no I don't think the speeches incited anyone. It's possible that a few of those from the Ellipse did decide to join in the riot WHEN they got there

I understand "conspiracy" just fine; you seen to go beyond understanding to obsession. I like your LW paranoia. Didn't the FBI actually say they were unable to find any evidence of conspiracies? Other than there own, of course (sarcasm intended)
I believe what I see and what I know not what I imagine because of my hatred of Trump and/or Republicans. All you offer is "they could have had radios"; "maybe some folks from the Ellipse got called to come join the fun", etc.

You try to role up the reasons, thoughts and motivations of thousands of people into ONE BALL; I look a little deeper and apply a hell of a lot more thinking to issue. Speeches ARE legitimate political discourse' - by definition. So, tell me if 1/6 was not legitimate political discourse you must then be conssist and agree the riots in Seattle, Portland,Minneapolis, Kenosha, etc were also NOT legitimate freedom of speech. And don't try to pull that "but 1/6" was an attack on our seat of government" as an excuse.

I can. And I will. Because it's true.

Only one political party attacked our government and tried to overthrow a President election on Jan 6 -- the Republican Party. YOUR side.

You have to live with your horrible decision to continue to support them and to continue to lie and make excuses for them. Constantly crying about liberals and Democrats doesn't change that.

Total lie

I have to lie with the realization that many of my fellow Americans have been indoctrinated and brainwashed into believing the lies their trainers have taught them to aid in seizing permanent control of this country and turning it into yet another authoritarian cesspool.

jan.6th.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Total lie
Total lie that innocent people have been arrested for Jan 6? Yep, I agree. Yet, you continue to spew falsehoods about it and claim that these traitors were engaged in "legitimate political discourse". ****ing pitiful.

You have to lie to protect Dear Leader Trump??? My goodness. You truly are lost.

Then if they were not incited, they were conspiring or are you trying to make the case that when they got to the Capitol, they could not help themselves. Good luck with that too. You are desperately trying to construct the illogical.

At the time they said it...the FBI likely believed it. I wonder what they would say today with their bosses charging Seditious Conspiracy.

You seem to be having a hard time with your discovery of the two-way radio.

Yeah, apparently the Powers that be ordered them to get in step with the Democratic Party platform. Biden needs a Wag the Dog moment - now he has one.

Not at all, I've used a variety of them for decades. It was the fanciful usage the poster suggested that I was scoffing at.

Ah yes when all else fails describe another Conspiracy Theory. I actually think that for you the word "Conspiracy" is simply a word that sometimes appears before the word "Theory" to make the term Conspiracy Theory.

No matter what you say, you don't appear to understand the concept of a conspiracy whether a Seditious Conspiracy or a Criminal Conspiracy or any other type of Conspiracy.

Yet another waste of time and keystrokes.
