I Need A Republican To Tell Me Which Of These Statements About Jan 6 Are True...

We'll find out if they ever get their day in court.

Nonsense.

In other words, McDaniel spoke way too soon. She has no way of knowing if any innocent "ordinary citizens" are being "persecuted".

However, 178 insurrectionists have already pleaded guilty in court for the crimes they committed on Jan 6.

Over 750 people have been charged with crimes related to Jan 6 and, so far, there is no evidence of anyone innocent getting swept up.

So, yes...you agree that McDaniel is full of shit. Well done once again.

Do you ever get things correct? You really just do understand how the world works do you?

Well the RNC and its Bozo Chair are either incompetent, dumb as a rock or ignorant.

Can you guess how many times an organization like the RNC or the DNC would have released a written Resolution or any written official statement and immediately had to backpedal away from it 100 years ago....even 75 years ago?

Here, I will give you the answer. ZERO.....ZILCH.....NADA.....ZIPPO

Either this version of the RNC did not review nor care to review nor care to look at the copy in their Resolution or they meant what they wrote. There are no other options.

So take your pick. They should either fold their tent because they are too incompetent, literally too STUPID to be in a position that gives them such a loud voice to talk to citizens, or they really meant what they wrote and are thus too ignorant to be in a position that gives them such a loud voice to talk to citizens.

After all, they are not Tucker Carlson who's own Network cannot defend his blather as anything other than blather that should not be taken seriously. They are supposed to be an arm of one of the two major political parties in this country.....not some sandbox for infants!

Not only is the GOP no longer a political party, it is not even a responsible public voice. so Congratulations to the Trumphumpers.

The funny part is that their corrections, retractions, clean up in Aisle STUPID are not the worst of the dumbassery in the Resolution.

I get things correct more often than Ronna McDaniel does.

But thank you for conceding that she is full of shit. That was very big of you.

Don't thank me - it only happened in your imagination. As do most of your "successes".

It was sarcasm, obviously. You'll never have the intellectual honesty to admit that she is 100% wrong.

Your entire fascist Republican Cult full of Trumpster traitors is built on a house of lies, and it's why it will ultimately fail in the long run, just like the Nazis.

Talk about 100% wrong. You nailed it. I doubt you even know what fascism is.

So, you admit you have no Idea; you just babble what your masters tell you. Your streak continues.

You defend McDaniel's lies with your own lies and bullshit. Like a good little fascist.

That's why you can't name any innocent people being prosecuted for Jan 6, just like full-of-shit McDaniel.

Sorry, Donald Trump disagrees with you. Here, let me remind you:

Donald Trump on 7 Jan 2021: "The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy," he said. "To those that engage in the acts of violence and disruption, you do not represent our country. To those that broke the law, you will pay."
He said nothing about insurrection, so now you've been caught in an easily recognizable lie.

So, you admit you have no Idea; you just babble what your masters tell you. Your streak continues.
It's because he keeps conflating what the rally was doing, along side what happened with the riot.
Nothing more than the same kind of dishonest tactic that you normally see on this sort of platform.

You have inside knowledge on Jones and Bannon that the Jan 6 Committee doesn't know about? How do you know they had nothing to do with the violence on Jan 6?
Because their actions were connected to the rally and not the protest crowd.
The rally was still in the middle of Trump's speech, when issues started to happen at the capital. With no indication that they had any hand in those breaking into the building.

If you have any evidence to prove otherwise, then you're welcome to supply it.

They should go wherever the investigation leads them. If Republicans want to learn more they should talk to Liz Cheney.
It's difficult to speak with someone, especially when they have nothing but animosity for a singular party. Even not being a republican myself, I can tell that she's always been at odds with the party and has almost always taken one or more stances with the democrats. It's actually kind of a meme with two of my co-workers.

Where I come from, it's not a good thing that a government agency of any sort. Is able to cite one thing and use it as a means to invade the privacy of so many people, especially when they were so far removed from such a specific event. Not only that, but the committee has made some questionable choices that hint towards it's own corrupt nature.
So I'm already at a deficit when it comes to trusting them.

The committee knows more than has been released to the public. It is up to the committee to determine the scope of the investigation.

Trump supporters are definitely not in a position to be limiting the scope of the investigation.
I was born under Fidel Castro.. so I hope you can understand how that statement, is more than just a little worrying to me.

Any government entity with too much power, is always a negative.

Poor attempt at spin. He is offering to pardon those who have been criminally convicted of causing harm on Jan 6th. This doesn't cut it. Try harder.
Yes, those that we are hearing troubling news about.
Those being mistreated in prison and those being wrongfully imprisoned, for just being present at the riot or even just walking into the building.

And those that actually caused damage and harm on that day, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
I can easily see the attraction to such a decision.

I appreciate and understand your concern. But these are not just political dissidents. These are violent criminals. And Trump is a mob boss. This is like worrying that not having members of the mob on the jury for their boss’ trial is not going to give you an impartial jury.

I am sorry for your experience in Cuba. But sometimes some lessons can be overlearned.

It’s sometimes OK to call out open criminals, even if they are trying to operate underthe guise of a “political party”.

Alex Jones, Bannon etc.

Speculation, but given that they're going after people who didn't have anything to do with the riot. They should concentrate on the groups involved.

As if you have any idea, or care, about who was actually involved and planned the insurrection.

it isnt that we (the GOP) dont care.....but we have been hearing innuendo, conjecture, and theories for over a year

Not one solid piece of evidence tying the actual perpetrators to the higher ups in the GOP has been leaked

Doesnt that seem odd to you? If the DOJ with all their resources cant make the case, what does that tell you?

Either this is the best damn conspiracy on the planet, or maybe people are barking up the wrong tree

Look....if there is evidence, i hope the FBI and justice department find it. If the higher ups in the GOP actually did plan the storming of the capitol on 1/6 then they need to pay

But if the idiots that did this were just zealots, and there isnt any connection, the American people need to hear that too.

This committee is not going to get the GOP to cooperate because it hurts them politically....period

So every GOP witness will take the 5th and waste the committee's time....

They are running out of time.....10 months till election.....maybe 7-8 months till they have to finish completely

And tell me.....are you happy with what the committee has accomplished?

Unfortunately very true. This site is chock full of political wonks (they are fine but as you say, not representative) and then also posters with ulterior and sinister purposes (not fine, dangerous, ultimately the enemy dead set on burning this country down) )at least from the viewpoint of somebody that still believes in this country.
There are a lot of Americans who still believe in America. Unfortunately, many of them don't like to get involved in politics or talk in chat rooms, and worse, they take America for granted. It never occurs to them that it might actually go away if we don't protect it.

How many here want to be a refugee without a country?

Most never consider the possibility.

I'll never understand why the Trump Republicans blocked the independent J6 Commission. They had to know Democrats would take it up on their own. Now the Trump Republicans just look silly attacking the investigation they tried to prevent. They must have wanted it to be mostly Democrats investigating it. It really looks like all they wanted was controversy. They thrive in manufactured controversy.

American government needs to be able to conduct investigations into what is going on in America so that they can knowledgeably legislate. Trump Republicans had their chance to be a part of that process. Apparently, all they wanted to do was oppose and criticize.

Trump Republicans are totally trying to sweep J6 under the carpet, bury it, forget it ever happened. They are quite embarrassed by it.

We can't let them.

Yes. I think they are working to protect democracy. I'm truly sorry you don't see it that way.

The bolded tells me all I need to know about where you stand on this issue. You want it swept under the rug as quickly as possible.

You say you care, then why not let the investigation run its course? We already have scum like the Oath Keepers charged with sedition. We have people from Trump's inner circle admitting to planting a soft coup. We have evidence that Trump planned to sieze voting machines. And while Trump and his goons spread their lies about election fraud, something they continue doing to this day.

But you want to act like it's all a big nothingburger. Excuse me if I don't take your concerns seriously.

He said nothing about insurrection, so now you've been caught in an easily recognizable lie.

Why would Trump now pardon people who infiltrated the Capitol and have defiled the seat of American democracy and who engaged in acts of violence and disruption? THOSE ARE HIS OWN WORDS!!

Yes, Trump is full of shit. And you look even more pathetic defending him.
