I made butter!

Okay, I'll let the spread comment alone as well. Good night, and be well...

Oh spread, butter. Good one! Thanks AP! Have a good rest of the night!

I make butter at least once a day. I churn it and churn it till out comes the butter.

That's the best butter there is. :)
When my boys were young, I showed them how to put cream in a mason jar, screw the lid on tight, and shake it until the butter separated out. We had such fun doing things like that.

use to do that when I was a kid with my grandparents, some 55 years ago.

The OP brings back fond memories on the farm.

Yeah, the good old farm with all those sheep running around scared.

no sheep. lots of cattle. grew wheat and corn in the fields. Big garden for veggies. Few milk cows. I remember the old hand turned centrifugal separator for separating the cream from the milk.

Never done this before. Cost significantly more than buying it already made, but it's cool that I can say I made my own butter.

R. Kelly makes butter too.

back when I was a young grasshopper trying to impress a young lady by helping made a dessert I beat some whipping cream til it got lumps of butter in it. I had a lot of nervous energy back them and she looked awfully cute in those little shorts bent over looking into the oven like that....

I did that once by accident making whipped cream and beating it too long. Now I do it on purpose. I proceed like you would to make whipped cream adding the powdered sugar and vanilla then beat it till it becomes butter. It's fantastic on French toast, waffles and pancakes.
