How the FDA lets chemicals pour into America's food supply

The FDA is a mixed bag. It does serve a proper purpose, we should have oversight and transparency into what is going into our foods, what is allowed, what is restricted, etc. So there's a legitimate purpose to having the FDA. And it serves that purpose in many things. But it does also conflate some issues, it allows corporations to actually hide certain chemicals when people figure out what they are and don't like them, and it is true that it allows far more processed ingredients and chemicals than you would find allowed in other developed countries. And its ties to Pharma cannot be denied. We do need oversight and regulation of Pharma, but we don't need that regulatory commission in bed with them.

So a review of procedure and purpose I do think is warranted, and an intelligent plan on how the FDA can best be used in its regulatory capacity to best serve the People.

Now will we get that with RKF Jr or Trump? I don't think anything intelligent ever comes from them. It doesn't mean there isn't a fundamental issue that needs a solution, it's just that the MAGA commie platform doesn't have the mental or intellectual capacity to drive that solution.

Nola, i think some of the Ignorant responses you are getting could be that many here have a small grasp of Politics, but no grasp of what is good for natural health.

i tend to comment less on politics but more on the religious debates, as i have more experience with that. health care should be of interest to all, but apparently many on the Left who used to be part of the Organic movement back in the day, have been co-opted by industry propaganda.

propaganda works, billions are spent on advertising everything because it does work. but 'truth in advertising' ? not so much.

A medication designed to treat a chronic disease wouldn't be a medication that would lower the rate of chronic disease.

Because simple logic and understanding of two things:
Chronic diseases don't have cures.
Treatments are not the same as preventing something from happening
