Of course, an aspect of the GOP strategy is to displace necessary services to the state level so that states have to RAISE TAXES to fund needed programs.I made this post on another site where the discuss turned into Republicans promoting a bill that will end their political careers:
Are some of you saying that voters in the midterm will vote against a party and president who:
- Are you thinking that people who make tips will vote against the president who enabled them to keep those tips without taxes?
- Are some of you thinking that people who work overtime will vote against the president who enabled them to make that money and not be penalized with higher taxes?
- Are some of you thinking that senior citizens will vote against someone who will give them a $4,000 deduction on their Social Security payment? This one might be a problem since Trump ran on discontinuing taxes on Social Security, but still, this deduction is something that Democrats did not give them.
- Are some of you saying that voters who get the SALT benefit will vote against someone who raised their SALT benefit from $10,000 to $30,000?
- Are some of you thinking that people will be upset that some people who get food assistance have to do something to earn that assistance? (Not me!) Note -- The SNAP program will become more dependent upon states to fund.
- Are some of you saying that the general public will be upset that funding for Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS will be cut? Not the people I know.
- Are you saying that Americans will be upset that the government will establish a $1,000 investment contribution for children?
- Are some of you saying that Americans are upset with the deportations of criminals?
- Are some of you saying that Americans will be upset with a 21% tax on university endowments to help fund student loans?
I am thinking that when the propaganda lies of the left subside as this legislation is enacted, Americans in general are really going to like Trump and the Republican Party.
Well, maybe that would be an acceptable trade-off if the Federal government reduced spending on bloated wasteful programs like the military budget and tax cuts for the wealthy, but no its like a religion for them- always cut taxes for the wealthy and raise spending on D.O.D.
Con the U.S. working class with a bit of bread and circus while the 1% make off with all that they can.
