That extends far beyond the one individual you are describing. While he may or may not be an idiot, you are bringing an entire list of others into the equation as well that you said made you "question whether they should have access to it on a legal basis." Are you questioning whether HE should have access to it legally or whether THEY should have access to it legally? Who are "they," exactly?

Marijuana is only worse than cigarettes and alcohol because it is illegal. There are
many reasons why it is illegal, but if applied fairly to the other two, they'd be banned in an instant. Destroyed even. Maybe a contributing factor for marijuana being shunned is because it doesn't kill us, actually helps us in ways, and makes us happy while expanding the mind. Doctors say that it impacts our motivation, so maybe the powers-that-be don't want drones dropping out of the workforce?

What is disturbing is that you actually believe that weed does this to people. I mean if they were really that way how the hell would they be able to move into a rental in the first place? Naa, the tobacco corporations are gearing up for the market I'm sure, because it is coming eventually. They will be the big players and have lots of lobbyists to pass tons of regulations and restrictions to stave off the little guy. Just like the alcohol business. Why is it that moonshine is illegal? pot doesn't satisfy my addiction to nicotine, cigarettes do.
I can't drive safely while smoking pot... i can drive pretty good while smoking cigarettes.

pot doesn't mix well with ice cubes or water.... Scotch does.
I can't pop open a frosty refreshing Pot beverage on a hot day.. Beer is where it's at.

I smoke cigs/cigars, drink booze, and smoke weed.... none of this bull**** is an "either or choice" for me.

for what it's worth, I'm decidedly on the side of legalization of marijuana.... but ,damn i'm tired of idiot stoners being the frontmen on the issue.

Are you referring to the gov't. funded studies that were manipulated to fit the agenda? Which studies are you referring? All the independant studies I read say it is less harmful than tobacco. The only negative side effects are feeling tired, hungry, and less motivated. Get real bro. All studies pushed in your face by the MSM are just doctored lies to fit an agenda.

Maybe myself and many close friends with good jobs are the exceptions, because we are very hard workers who like to come home, relax, and light up a little sweet Mary Jane. kinda funny, my neighbor is a rancher and an active member of local society ( former cop, former local politician, successful businessman).. he's active in the local GOP still and very involved in his church... the old coot( mid 80's) is like an energizer bunny with an old dirty cowboy hat on
we talk politics a lot.. he's a mainstream Republican .. doesn't mind libertarians, but doesn't particular like the ideology either.

They try to hide the usage because they don't want to go to jail.

They wouldn't let all the lights go out because then they couldn't see their weed to roll a joint.

They would vacuum because crumbs of pot would fall everywhere and they need to remove evidence.

They have good personal hygiene because it's hard to roll a good joint or pack a bowl when their hands are covered in grease.

Overall, you seem to be describing a meth addict's trailer or a heroin den. I have yet to see a stoner's house with any of those traits.
