House Oversight Committee Launches Investigation Into Gov Newsom and Mayor Bass Over LA Riots

I wasn't talking to you but good for you for piping in.
Go ahead, don't let me stop you from telling me who in the federal government and the state of CA. is wasting my money. Never heard of DOGE, have ya?

🍿:)
It's an open forum and we know you and your verbal diarrhea Intimately. My point stands and your attempted deflection did not even come close to adressing it.

It's MY nation too and I vehemently disagree with your position.. as do I disagree with you denigrating someone just because they are on the outside looking in.

But that is the nature of xenophobia. Shrug.

The House has no authority over a governor and mayor
They don't pretend to. The HOC's investigation lays the legal groundwork for SCOTUS to rule on the president's use of the National Guard to quell violence, and ensure that ICE officers were not hindered or injured while performing their duties.

The fact that Law Enforcement officers were physically injured, and threats were made on their lives (Molotov cocktails, bricks, cinder blocks, rocks, etc) this will be supporting evidence that the L.A.P.D. were not at all equipped or prepared to deal with the violence and mayhem, therefore Trump was justified in going over the governor's head in calling out the National Guard.

SCOTUS is compelled to rule in favor of Trump. Governor Newsom's incompetence will be out there for everyone to see. And Mayor Bass, too.

The House Oversight Committee is launching an investigation into Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass as the protests over federal immigration policies continue in California.

HOC Chairman James Comer and LA Rep. Clay Higgins are leading the investigation, which is requesting Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to provide documents on "acts of violence against law enforcement officers in California."

"You champion California's sanctuary policies, which prevent local law enforcement's cooperation with federal immigration authorities. You have also made it clear that you intend to block the objectives of the federal government, and defend aliens, regardless of their immigration status, criminal activity, anti-American views, or incitement to riot.” said the HOC's letter to Newsom and Bass.

The House Oversight Committee's investigation is the first at the congressional level into the riots, as ICE officers have been sweeping the streets in an effort to remove illegal immigrants.

I told you to carry on, and you did. Meaning agree to disagree. Do you want applause from me or what? 🦭👏
Don't be mad and no need to play those old cards meant to give you an advantage. You're not fooling anyone by doing so. :)

Carry on... I told you I was listening. Look, I've had lots of discussions on this thread already. One thing though, playing the xenophobic/race is not discussion. It's ad hom nonsense.
Do better.
Your turn. GO

Sounds more like a Republican committee circle jerk and a huge waste of time.

Maybe they can pay for the expenses using the Trump coin and save money flying witnesses in on that 400 million dollar jet Trump got from the UAE. Hell, I'm sure some of the people that gave Trump millions for pardons would even be willing to offset the cost. Maybe they can even get the pardoned Jan sixers that aren't in jail for other things, like sexually assaulting a minor or child porn to run security over the hearings.

I'm glad they are on top of investigating bad behavior.
We'll pay for it using Trump Cards.

They're worth 5,000,000. Five million what, I'm not sure.

SCOTUS isn’t compelled to rule anything. Interesting tgst you only support states rights when it’s something that you like. Interesting you claim you support small government until you don’t.
There was a small amount of violence that was quickly dealt with and was smaller in amount of trouble makers than Jan 6. There wasn’t a rebellion and the Constitution only gives authority to feds during that time. Rebellion is a significant movement or uprising to overthrow the government and that’s not what the protesters were doing. Posse Commitatus says zero about protests or police being hurt or threatened.

"compelled too" because there were zero injuries in a city? lol
guess the NG better be ready to go throughout the entire country, because no police force is capable of protecting every single person every single day.
