Hey there DebatePolitics forum! Current events had me yelling and screaming on weird places like LinkedIn and Bluesky so set about to find a more online appropriate spot. Let me be the first to welcome you, and gauging from your few comments so far, you are going to ruffle a few feathers. But we need more of that (within the confines of the rules of course).

Not into fighting. Provocative discussion, no problem. The challenge being to offer differing views in a respectful way meant to stimulate intriguing discussion with the mutual goal of understanding and enhancing our society.

America's number one problem? Congress is sold out. Our challenge? How to get the big money out of Congress and government; and return to a truly representative government outlined by the Constitution. One person one voice. Equal say.

I think I’m pretty middle of the road but I bet here everyone believes that. I doubt anyone posting to a political debate forum has feathers that can be ruffled too badly ;)
 
I mostly look at debate forums an opportunity to learn, so instead of fighting I prefer arguing.
That said, society seems to be drifting more toward fighting. Most of it is cosplay fighting which is more like WWE instead.
But in the outside world, some of those WWE theatrics have actually hurt real people with real lives, so it's more like WWE if dozens of folding chairs are launched directly at
the heads of people in the audience instead of solely at the faces of the wrestlers.

Funny thing about WWE and reality tee vee...one of the screening questions of a new actor or wrestler is "Okay, who do you want to fight with on the show?"
It's predetermined before a single second of footage is shot.
