He has 17,700 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer and Nowhere to Sell Them

My son and daughter are responsible for cleaning all the cat litter boxes in our home...we have several.

I usually keep face masts and vinyl food service gloves in the house so they are not breathing in litter dust and touching the litter contents; while the gloves price hadn't changed, a few weeks ago the price for face masks had, in some cases, quadrupled...IF you could even find any in stock.

As for this guy?

F*ck 'em.

So autograph each bottle and sell your autograph for $80 and get the bottle of sanitizer at no extra charge.

I say go for it if you feel you can convince a judge/jury that some dip**** from Chattanooga autograph is worth $80

The truly stupid thing about of all of this is that hand sanitizer is really just in the event you can't wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds which is what doctors insist kills more germs than hand sanitizer.

My point is that as long as you have soap and wash your hands for 20 seconds, then having sanitizer is just a luxury anyway.

actually slightly surprised at the responses to this given that arbitrage is a key part of a totally free market (the invisible hand and all that). socialism is more popular than it looks apparently.

In times of panic, stores need to stop that **** at the registers. I stocked up on some stuff in advance, but I didn't clear the shelves, and I'm not selling it on Ebay like a ****ing asshole.

I did my stuff in advance as well. While a few buddies were laughing. Now I'm laughing while they run all over town. :lamo

I have a better idea, get the animals out of the house.

what "stuff?"

It is ridiculous how people are hording crap.

Despicable actions by most.

I didnt read the entire article, just the quote...can they not sell their stuff for regular prices with legit markup on eBay, etc?

Screw that. Do you always recommend just getting rid of your responsibilities when they're inconvenient?

Try this....you manage your home, and I'll manage mine.

Don't invite me over for dinner is all but I am fine if you choose to let animals in YOUR home.

at it's very essence, isn't that just capitalism?

I need something like that right now because the barn cat is pregnant and I want to clean the mouse nests out of the hay loft. Cannot find any. Tried hardware stores too.

I have no responsibilities to animals except for not abusing them.

Why anyone keeps animals in their home and also cleans their **** and piss I'll never understand.

Domesticating animals was about getting them to do things for us.

If you kept them, you'd be responsible for them.

And I'm sad for you that you havent experienced the benefits of pets. Lack of compassion for animals often translates to lack of compassion for vulnerable/weak people.

And my animals all serve me. See...you are apparently ignorant on that aspect. A dog does more than just act as a security warning.

The vinyl food service gloves I got on Amazon...pretty cheap actually; and I purchased the cloth washable and reusable dust masks for the kids...they are not for medical use, but function well enough for every day dust, and I use them when I am cleaning the garage or working in the yard during pollen season.

Huh. Thanks. I can look online, just figured they were out too.

I don't, it's absurd.

Sad for me?! I am sad for you. You are the one cleaning an animals **** and piss.

bull****

I am easily one of the most compassionate people there is

And my animals all serve me.

they make dinner for you or what? Honest, what is it they do?

See...you are apparently ignorant on that aspect. A dog does more than just act as a security warning.

yes, it also acts as a disease carrier.

Reiterating but not adding anything?

Seems like a lame argument...but no worries.

LMAO, it's like saying kids arent worth it because you have to clean up after them too...as if, as kids, they dont contribute anything either :doh

Yup...that's what your argument amounts to. I'm fine with that. (Oh, and kids are way more likely to bring disease into your house, wayyyyyy more )

Good news. While the first aid aisle was completely out of product, I was able to find a bottle of 190 proof Everclear (there were 4-5). It is not well known, but Ethyl alcohol (grain) is actually a better disinfectant than isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. It has the advantage of also being drinkable(ish). At 190 proof, it can also be slightly diluted and still be effective. I'm good for at least two more weeks.(I hope I've not just started a run on Everclear.)

Soap and water is far superior. I posted somewhere the biochemical reason for that. I may post it here, too.

We have an almost full bottle of Bacardi 151 (aka "Bat Juice") for when our isopropyl runs out.
I guess we'll be buying up some corn and yeast and taking a bit of sugar and distilling our own at some point.
It's been almost forty years since I tried doing it the one time but I'm pretty sure I can whip strong moonshine after a fashion.

As of yesterday, they were still in stock....box of 1000 gloves for about $35

Taking orders?!

Purely for medicinal purposes you understand.

Everybody stocking up at the last minute caused the shelves to be empty. You contributed to that.
