Just watched a report on the news called “happy slapping”. A group of people (two or more) goes out with a video camera and films a person being slapped or punched by surprise.
The people then post the footage on the Internet. The report said the person in the UK has been killed after he was hit and struck his head on concrete. (side walk)

Watching some of the video on TV made me want to beat the daylights out of those punks.
I’m waiting for someone to do that crap then the headline reads.

“A young man was shot and killed today after he punched a stranger while his friends filmed it”

I've seen videos of it happening over here, too.

Absolutely amazes me that our culture has sunk this low.

Someone sent me a video of someone getting punched in the face. I found it extremely disturbing. I wonder if it was part of this stupid "happy slapping" crap. What kind of person comes up with this idea?

This is soooooooo bad!!

But I can't stop laughing. :rofl

I am beyond hope.:3oops:

Three teenage boys stamping on a guy's head while a fourteen year old girl accomplice filmed it on her mobile phone camera. They were on a bit of a rampage and had attacked several others previously, one of whom died from severe head trauma. Just another day in Blair's Britain.

Remember kids, he's tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime.
:rofl

Kids or not someone would be going to the ER and it wouldnt be me...;)

Labour born and raised, and voted for 'em every time I've had the chance. But not any more.
Trust me on this, New Labour has failed, they're a party on their way to opposition. And Britain is on it's way to government elected by about one third of the eligible vote, unfit to call itself a democracy.

This is quite literally the first time I've heard any European admit that perhaps their multi-party coalition style governing system might not be the ideal...:2wave:

It's disturbing that people would actually do this sort of stuff to someone else and find it entertaining, and even more disturbing that they film it. Chavs on the increase I feel...

I think its the other way around - the reason we have a government based on a third of the vote is because we don't have a proportional system.

Mulitiple parties aren't the problem as far as I'm concerned, the real problem is when all three of them are offering basically the same policies and just arguing over who gets to be the government. This is our present predicament, Labour, Conservatives, Liberal-Democrats, you can't slide a cigarette paper between their politics. All Neo-Liberal free marketeers, no Socialists, no genuine environmentalists, no Republicans, no serious right wing policies. It's not a healthy democracy because there aren't enough different policies for consideration. That's why huge numbers of people won't vote, they see no difference between politicians; as South Park put it, you have the choice between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich.

And certainly in Britain we don't have a multi-party style of government, there hasn't been a powersharing coalition in Westminster as far as I can remember, either Labour or the Conservatives tends to take a majority government, be f***ing useless for a couple of terms, then the political pendulum swings back to the other, with the Lib-Dems perennially languishing in third. Continental Europe has more coalition governments.

PR is a concept not a specific structure of electoral organisation, there are many variations on PR in many countries. The general idea is to make the final parliament look more like the voting breakdown, but you can achieve it in lots of ways, at present there is so little consideration of PR in Britain that an actual model has not even been presented for consideration. Supporters just call for PR in general, while opponents deny it arbitrarily.
