No really. This guy is actually a member of Congress. Which means people had to vote him into office.

I don't know how the Admiral kept a straight face on this one. I mean at what point doyou as a man of honor and code, not stand up and ask why this Johnson guy has a position of power that can make policy decisions in this country.

Guam might tip over and cap size?...:rofl

We are screwed folks, utterly screwed.

Trust me, between him and his predecessor I'd take him any day of the week.

"We do not anticipate that." :rofl

You couldn't even make a dumb-blonde joke like this. Nobody would believe any human being over the age of consent would be that stupid.

He voted for the healthcare bill too...

Honestly, how moronic do you have to be to believe that an Island will capsize over 8,000 people? We have some real idiots in congress.

He claims he was speaking metaphorically, and that he was talking about the ecosystem and the infrastructure of the place.

But watching the video... err, I have a hard time believing that.

The man has a law degree. Maybe he was homeschooled for his primary education? I can sorta see how that would happen, your homeschooling is weak and in law school things like BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD don't come up.

edit: Or more likely, he's just really old and his mind is going.

Funny, most of the homeschooled kids I know are super-freaking-smart and remarkably well-informed, compared to most of the public-school kids I know.

Degrees don't make someone smart, they may have a piece of paper that says they graduated from an institution, but that doesn't make them intelligent.

And personally I was homeschooled and I'd say most of my homeschooled friends were smarter then most public/private school kids. I don't want to brag or proclaim my intelligence, but my homeschool education helped me score high on the ACT and get an academic scholarship to a private university in Nashville. I also have a fairly high GPA and my major is in molecular biology.

This guy could be losing his mind due to old age, the video really showe that he lacks speaking skills. But regardless, his comment was very moronic and this guy shouldn't be on congress.

what you people are missing is that the debate on this is already over. the consensus among scientists is that guam, and possibly indeed all our continents, are going to tip over destroying human society. they only way to save the world is to immediately put all of your resources under the control of cpwill, including and especially to flying him around the world to rich vacation locations to talk to other people about the severe threat of land-tipping with other like-minded notables over extremely luxuriant meals; which you will pay for. oh. and if you don't believe that, then you're a flat-earth evolution denier and probably in league with the 'big people' industry, which pays to pretend that over population won't - in fact - cause the basic solid nature of the earth to radically change.

I say we send at least 1 million life jackets to Guam immediately!
