I mean, does that still alarm you? Do you believe that could have anything to do with abstinence and/or safe sex?

Yes. To redirect funds from fighting a deadly disease and aiding those who are HIV positive to changing the behavior of homosexuals in this country shows a complete disregard for those suffering from AIDS/HIV, which includes victims from all walks of life, including children, as well as a completely bigoted, intolerant view of the entire homosexual community itself.

Would you have a problem if the people offended by his comments protested all his future performances by rallying in front of his shows and block and intimidate anyone who wanted to go see his performances? Would it be ok of these same people pressured his boss to fire him because they dont like what he did? I dont understand why people get so upset with people on the right when they react with the similiar intolerant behavior that people on the left routinely engage in.

Because HIV is NOT a gay disease. Homosexuals don't choose their sexual preference; they are born with it. Women have the right to choose to continue a pregnancy they want, and terminate the pregnancy they don't want. There is no "right" choice. It is based upon the woman's situation and the decision is between the women, her physician, and her family. Period. It's nobody else's business.

As for homosexuals, they don't need information on the "best choice"; homosexuals are who they were born to be and all the shaming in the world will not transform them into what Pence and those like him insist they must be. The fact that Pence... and you... do not believe homosexuals have the same constitutional rights and privileges as heterosexuals is absolutely bigoted and completely unconstitutional. Women have the right to decide whether they will or will not terminate an unwanted pregnancy; homosexuals have the right to enjoy the same constitutional protections as anyone else in American society.

If you find that unpalatable, tough noogies. It's the law of the land, and it is the right thing to so.

Except what you think is inconsistent with reality here. You are asserting that what Dixon did was worse than what Trump did because he did it publicly. That's absurd. It is far more likely that someone is going to be serious about something when they are in private, as opposed to being in public where someone is more likely just to exaggerate. But the real issue is that your bias has prevented you from seeing the consistency in both individual's comments. Oh, and there was lots of diverting in your above post, too.

1. The notion that black dudes can get laid because the white chicks will be drunk seems fairly logically implicit. That is the most obvious context, and attempts to create something more complicated out of it to defend a guy just because he's part of a cast who said something you approved of to a politician you don't like is tribalism on par with the Trump fans excusing anything he said, because he went after the people they didn't like.

2. That being said, we remain responsible for our decisions even when we are drunk. That's why we charge drunk drivers. The notion that drunk women can't consent but somehow drunk men can, making it rape is a devaluing of the word past meaning and logic. It leaves "rape" as meaning not "an assault or violation," but as "sex which the woman might decide later was a bad idea".

3. In light of (2), it was a joke, and not a harmful one. The idea that this makes him somehow a bad person is ludicrous.

4. That ludicrosity (it's a word, now) would in no way stop the left* from screaming "Rape Culture!!!!!!!!!!!!" if this guy was a conservative cultural icon, rather than part of a liberal one.
