The “rabid Islamic world”? That’s odd, because the “Jewish state” has killed more civilians in a single year than Hamas has in its entire existence

And given how many Americans cheered the U.S. military dropping bombs on ships America still has yet to prove were doing anything wrong, the posturing is even more comical.

Hamas is, was, and will always be a terrorist group. This needs to stop.

To my understanding those were gang members that were committing crimes. Obviously executing them is beyond the pale but ideally how should they deal with that. There's no jails, no courts, no detention centers, no judges, no allies that will take them. They demonstrate a 7th century mindset because they've been returned to the 7th century.

No. Read their founding document. They freely and proudly admit to their 7th century roots:

  • Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.
  • Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious.
  • The Movement's programme is Islam ... It resorts to it for judgement in all its conduct.
  • [Hamas] By adopting Islam as its way of life ... the Prophet is its example and the Koran is its constitution.
  • It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine.
  • [from a hadith] - The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say Oh Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.
  • Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.
  • [Hamas] believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day.
  • Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.
  • So-called peaceful solutions ... are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
  • There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad.
  • The Palestinian problem is a religious problem, and should be dealt with on this basis.
  • The Islamic nature of Palestine is part of our religion.
  • Israel, Judaism and Jews challenge Islam and the Moslem people. "May the cowards never sleep."

Blame Israel for choosing to empower them with guns and money to rebel against the PLO. They knew what they were supporting.

Israel didn't take any of that charter seriously and supported them anyway so why should I care about it?

You are missing the point. What is important is that Trump has ended his 8th or 9th war all by himself and deserves the Nobel Peace prize.
