Growing Disapproval of Protests Against Police

X Factors mind has been taken over by that of the Culture War Profiteers.

On one hand, he'll decry the use of Government Force for things like Masks or social distancing because that is too much, he's small government don't you know? And if you support those measures to save lives, well you must be in on the dick dastardly plot.

At the same time, he has been convinced by the aforementioned culture war profiteers that Security Agents of the State executing citizens, isn't really a big deal, don't worry about it... And if you stand agianst it, well you must be on the side of those who take advantage of the situation to do bad things.

But wait, it's not just those that riot or loot... It's those that kneel too...

It's more about cultural grievances than substance or any kind of political conviction.

He cares more about kneeling football players then he does about 200K+ of his fellow citizens dying needlessly due, in large part, the incompetence of the person he supports, because again, his cultural grievances come before anything else.

I agree with you except for the bolded. Never say "Never," unless you have the facts straight.

Back when I was a kid in the 50's and 60's there WERE problem police and problem police departments. Especially in the South and certain areas north and west of the Mason-Dixon line.

There are still issues of police corruption, and some few "bad" cops who use their badges as a shield for their own bad behaviors.

Having said that, IMO major changes have occurred and the vast majority of Police departments and law enforcement officers are simply and properly doing their jobs the best that they are able.

Again, this is not "the bad old days" pre-civil rights era. Cops are doing a dangerous, often thankless job. But Ideologues who are trying to turn this nation upside down via grievance politics as using the ghosts of those bad old "racist" days to color our current view.

But the truth is, people get hurt when they argue, confront, and violently resist arrest. Regardless of age, sex, race, what have you. Don't resist, keep you mouth shut and your eyes and ears open...and let the justice system solve the problem.

I said it seemed that way and, I’m sorry, but it does. This may be pointless either way. If you’re determined to lay all the blame on police and see no validity in generally supporting them, then you should go ahead and have that good weekend. To be heard, you must be willing to listen.

Thread’s not about me and Trump has not killed anyone with the virus no matter how often that stupid lie gets repeated. Something tells me that you won’t make that same kind of claim against the Dems that want to undermine the trust in a vaccine just because it comes out under Trump’s administration. Oh, and cops are not killing anyone based on skin color.

It's far more important to boil the world down to two, monolithic, opposing camps, because understanding anything more complex than that, is gonna be scary.

Only if you mischaracterize the root cause of the problem. I believe a better characterization of the problem is:

- No-knock raids still not banned nationwide.
- Choke holds and knee restraints of handcuffed suspects still not banned nationwide.
- Body cams and dash cams still not mandatory nationwide.
- Independent police misconduct review board still not implemented nationwide.
- Licensure to practice law enforcement (with permanent revocation ability for egregious or repeated misconduct) still not implemented nationwide.
- The ignorant, harmful, and Unconstitutional drug prohibition laws have still not been repealed nationwide

One side blames the cops. The other side blames the people. For some reason nobody is blaming the incompetent political leadership (both R and D) for sitting on their do-nothing hands.

That and the "condemn" game, where he rapes tragedies and claims that the entirety of the left approves of the tragedy unless until each member flocks to his thread and specifically condemns whatever it is happened this time. In which case, they are told that they're only saying that to look good, and they still actually approve of it.

(The minor variant being The Hypocrite Game, where he accuses someone who tangles with other people on the left of never tangling with people on the left, and does it on a topic on which he himself has never called out a fellow conservative.)

Trump is on tape admitting that he always downplays the virus. And we already knew that. He lied and denied for months, allowing it to explode. He killed a Kushner mass testing plan because he thought it was to his advantage to let blue state liberals die so he could then blame blue governors.

The root cause of the "problem" is a lust for power by the radical left, who are engaged in a civil war that they fancy as a revolution in an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States and usher in a Socialist authoritarian state.

You seek a central dictatorship that will rule over the states, there is no authority for such in the constitution, so the left seeks to end the Constitution.
