MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — There are growing concerns about the arrest of two brothers with ties to the Middle East who authorities say had an arsenal with bomb-making materials, guns and ammunition in their car.
Twenty-seven-year-old Abdullah Alrifahe and 26-year-old Majid Alrifahe were arrested on May 11 in north Minneapolis.
Abdullah is being held in the Hennepin County Jail. His brother, Majid, has been released and is facing minor charges.
WCCO-TV has confirmed that both Homeland Security and the FBI are involved in the investigation, which started outside a federally-subsidized senior housing project. A good Samaritan confronted the men about littering from their car.
The man, who asked that his name not be used for fear of his safety, said the brothers jumped out of their car, moved aggressively toward him and used the N-word. He then called police.
Inside the brothers’ car, police found a loaded AK-47, another rifle, a handgun, a grenade, large amounts of ammunition, and what would later be identified as bomb-making materials, including a drone.
1 was released huh? With no Muslim in the White House now. Who will the Con media, the Republicans and Trumpsters blame?
Why did they release one of the brothers? Why? Makes no sense to me.

Bomb making materials and a drone? And they let one of them go?
Good Lord.

I would suggest the person who was released is under active surveillance including all communications.
And the person detained was determined to be a possible squealer.
It's their decision to make. Perhaps one day we'll know why. In the meantime, keep calm and carry on.

And this is comforting from the Dept of Homeland Security Secretary: DHS chief: If you knew what I knew about terror, you?d ?never leave the house? | TheHill
He cited four major attacks in the past week. England, Indonesia, the Phillipines, and Egypt.
If you type 'possession of bomb making materials' into your browser, you get a LOT of hits of people being arrested and convicted for possession of bomb making stuff. I'll probably have a black helicopter hovering overhead and guys in trench coats at the front door shortly because I did the search.
While you find cases of conviction, I'm not finding much on them letting the people go after their arrests?
I do wish we had more information on why they let one of the brothers go.
They also had a fully loaded AK-47. I suspect he didn't have a license for that.
Is there not one ****ing thing that can be discussed without IMMEDIATELY turning it into a partisan hack fest?

Don't need one in NRA's America. Just grab one at a gun show.
MAGA!

Who cares? The thread is about how we handle terror suspects.See #19 post and be honest. If Obama was in the WH there would be 1,000 posts just like that. Am I right?
Be afraid, citizen, and do not question your rulers!
