I had two options -- continue to let every terrible thing they're doing upset me, frustrate me, make me irate and raise my blood pressure or try to find solace and humor where I can and I chose the latter.

Keep your fingers crossed that people vote wisely in the mid-terms.

I have no hope for a country of drooling morons who can't be assed to follow what is going on because it upsets them too much and the news is too negative. They gave a trifecta of power to a religious extremist christian terrorist party.

Lol we need to stop relying on just voting. It's done **** all but actually has devolved us back decades. And that's not even taking into account they're absolutely gonna **** with elections.

They are acting as if they have no worry in the world with losing an election and like the Dems are never going to hold power again.

So what are we supposed to do, capitulate and accept the autocrat? How did the Federalist Society manage this coup? Long term planning and the naivety of those who think good always wins, love always conquers, the Consitution is sacred, when they go low/we go high yada yada yada. Additionally we've let religions and religious organizations get too much power and have too many protections and religion is the basis for a lot of conservative platforms. It's past time to stop their insidious erosion of this democratic republic. My gut says it will take a military coup to get rid of the rodent infestation in the WH. Fingers crossed there are enough in the armed forces who are still loyal to country over pseudoking.

Ok. Still just think we should assume that the midterms might not be testing what the public wants, because throughout the Old Confederacy, the midwest and the west, those people will be thumbing every scale.

Congress frequently passes laws in which they specifically exempt themselves. This could be one "In the name of fact-finding research."
