GOP Debate Number 7

Shh. Cruz doesn't like mean questions. I can't decide whether to laugh or cry at the possibility that a man who wanted to storm out because Wallace is a big fat meanie could occupy the Oval Office. What a wimp.

Walking out because someone asked him a mean question seems to be working for trump.

You took that statement seriously? I thought it was pretty clearly a joke meant to poke fun at Trump

Given everything Cruz said around it; I think not, but his campaign might try to spin it that way.

I'll tell you what I think. Fox hurt both Cruz and Rubio tonight- which can only help Trump, which is bad. IMHO.

Carson has a great story, and is, at least to my mind, a great man. He just does not belong in politics, and every debate illustrates that point.

Surely Kasich informed us again today that his papa was a mailman, right? Has nothing to do with having the right butt for the POTUS chair, but it is a story.

Same thing.

Biggest flop tonight... Rubio. Cruz not far behind.

I actually think Jeb did fairly well for a change.

I just saw reviews...so BOTH Kasich AND Cruz nailed Fox to the wall, humiliated them??!!

GAME ON!

Just goes as proof that Trump has already won.

NOTE: I hear that the undercard did as well but they dont count.

Clearly you missed the jovial implications of that comment.

Thanks all for another fun discussion. Anime time now.

Yup. He's a great man.... Who shouldn't be in President.

He seems a quicker study though, to have picked up on foreign policy a bit.

I wanted Marco to say we would land at Dabiq under 80 flags and dare ISIL to put their lives where their mouths are.

Is Bush going to beat Trump?

No.

Get used to hearing "PRESIDENT TRUMP, SIR"

I think you are right on both accounts. Bush did well the last two times.

Typical his best line was against Rubio, but still a good one.

Rubio really disappointed here. He focused almost exclusively on ISIS, didn't capitalize on what positive things his faith and his compassion for his fellow man could do (the moderators in that question gave him a great shot to destroy Cruz for his MCarthyite fear mongering) and just all around floundered.

Cruz got the lashing he deserved from his Senate colleagues. The television viewer got to see why Rubio, Paul, and everyone else on the Senate floor cannot stand this guy.

Bush came on extraordinarily strong. Problem is that it came really late. We're at over the halfway mark for the debates. This was the Bush we needed to see, but the story still belongs to:

Donald Trump.

This was the debate we needed, but the electorate has become progressively dumber and we're being held hostage by it.

At the very best we might say "Presidential candidate GOP nominated Trump". That's about the furthest he could possibly get.

Lol Clinton or sanders will ear him for breakfast. A little lik Cruz trump is despised by blacks Hispanics and women but worse he is despised by real billionaires who will help bury his campaign.

Rubio was building good momentum up until tonight, and may have thrown cold water on it. Bush needed to look good next to him, and achieved that.

He's back, and making more sense than any of the rest of them.

I like him, but he didn't have a great night. he constantly left time on the clock and was short with responses.

Bush had a strong debate. Cruz had a brutal debate.

The only credit I can give him is how he and Rand tag teamed against Cruz for being a self-adulating and conniving Senator.

I see the self adulation, but not so much the conniving, outside of both Rubio and Cruz getting nailed on immigration.

He was making a trump joke. did no one else get that?

Cruz did so well, now I'm almost convinced he's actually worse than Trump.
