Gingrich tops Trumps VP List

Good you go be opaque somewhere and Ill be transparent. I don't care what the context is, you obviously want to ride this post wave for another 10 pages or so, have at it.

Sorry, couldn't hear you over your own backpedaling.

I wouldn't vote for Trump solely based on selecting Gandhi, since I don't want my president picking a VP who has been dead since 1944.

i would vote for Gandhi over either of the two major party nominees, dead or not. i suppose his VP pick would be pretty important in that case, however.

Newt Gingrich Tops Trump's VP List

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is now the leading candidate to be tapped by Donald Trump as his running mate, a close confidante of Trump tells Newsmax.

On Tuesday, Trump told the AP that he has whittled down his choices to 5 or 6 names.

"I have a list of people that I would like," Trump revealed in his interview Tuesday.

But the name that keeps cropping up as his favorite is Gingrich, a Trump confidante tells Newsmax.

Frankly......this would be Great. Can you imagine Trump/Gingrich....two hypocrites on their third marriages with history's of maritial infidelity attempting to attack Hillary for Bill's indiscretions?

This will be entertaining!

Actually what the DNC would love is the Donald getting in bed with someone that is as Establishment as they get and still claiming he is anti-establishment, even some of his fan club might get the message then.

I've been Googling, and speculation is all over the place, from the top two candidates being female to Ted Cruz.

no
your inference WAS that individuals having brown skin or vaginas could not be persons of substance

Good gosh, man. Can you not see the very clear statement I was making about identity politics today? It was a criticism, not a proclamation of my position.

LOL, did you see the post he quoted? And you sit there and pull the typical conservative whine about "identity politics" when EROD introduced identity politics to the conversation.

Dealing with the right on this forum is incredibly frustrating, since they will simply lie or ignore context constantly in order to score points.

Can you seriously not understand the point I was making? Of course you can, but you won't, because it was dead on target.

While your white knighting for Erod is valiant, he said what he said. Period. Discussion over.

I didn't know I had to keep this at a 3rd-grade level in order for "complicated" inferences to be understood.

The point I was making was plainly clear. Crystal clear. You've got a lot of damn free time on your hands, apparently.

When I experience the deliberate and disingenuous spinning that you are experiencing right now, this is my stock response:

The fact is, those guys are trolling you.

Mycroft's definition of a troll is "someone who disagrees" with him.

Gingrich is the guy I am hoping Donald Trump chooses. I am looking for Hillary Clinton to win big...and I think having Gingrich on the ticket will help.

That you support Hillary should really make you question yourself on so many levels.

And no, I don't support Trump.

My integrity is worth more than the satisfaction of watching liberals lose.

OK, let's look at YOUR words and see what you said:
Geez, that speaks poorly of you. Why do you say that out loud?

Gingrich is a lousy pick because, in America, it's far more important to balance the ticket with brown skin and a vagina than to choose someone on substance.
[emphasis added by bubba to make the following point]

you shared with us that

the ticket could have a person of substance

OR

the ticket could have a person with brown skin or a vagina

that 'OR' is important

it shows us that you believe a person with brown skin or a vagina could NOT be a person of substance

YOUR words

maybe you would want to retract them. then do so

otherwise they stand as presented, being an assertion that a person with brown skin or a person with a vagina could NOT be a person of substance

You are assuming that the people in politics we call "technocrats" are actually "data-driven". They are not. They are just positioning themselves as "non-ideological", not of the political class, just regular guys eager to "make America great again", and they know what they are doing, so sit down and shut up. Pure Trump.

no, technocrat was a very definite term
describing those of that brief political era immediately after the onset of the great depression who sought to replace politicians with scientists and engineers, who were expected to use their technical skills to guide our nation out of the dilemma wrought by ignorant politicians

my suspicion is you unintentionally misused the term

Do you not see the point in the hyperbole? Seriously? That would be a ridiculous thing for me to actually say and mean. But is it not what we see and hear about politicians from the media? How women or minorities are chosen specifically to appeal to certain voter bases? Is Hillary not running largely on the mere fact that she's a woman?

In this case, a lot of people misused it, over a very long period of time:

"Dukakis, seeking to overcome his image as a humorless technocrat..." (Battles Technocrat Image : Dukakis Softens Tone to Project Compassion - latimes)

"Romney vs. Gingrich: The technocrat and the self-anointed great statesman" (Romney vs. Gingrich: The technocrat and the self-anointed great statesman - tribunedigital-baltimoresun)

and even:

Trump the Technocrat | The American Conservative

i agree with you

hopefully, you have agreed to retract your statement

Mycroft's definition of a troll is "someone who disagrees" with him.

Not true, and you know it. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me.

From what I can tell, a general voter doesn't give two ****s about how much tail you can nail as long as you aren't raping someone.

So you classify marriage as 'tail you can nail'?

Okaaaay.

You should tell that to the next woman you want to marry.

I can see the Trump dartboard is in play.

Throw the darts and win a prize...Trump's next fictitious cabinet secretary.

Isn't Trump running on the mere fact he's a white man? Didn't Bush the II run on the mere fact he's a Bush, son of former Pres. H.W. Bush? Reagan on the mere fact of him being a washed up actor?

Not true, and you know it. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me.

I've seen you call more people "troll" than anyone else in this forum.

They always seem to be people (including me) with whom you disagree.

I've considered what they (and I) have dad to say before you trotted out the insult..and I am of the opinion the reason you use the term "troll" is because of the disagreement, rather than the fact that they (or I) do what "trolls" do to deserve that characterization.

I understand you probably disagree with me on that...and I respect the fact that you have the right to do that.

sigh...

Yes, I disagree with everything you've said here because it's all BS and I see no reason to perpetuate your fantasy.

The thing is, I used the term, "troll", here because that's what's been going on. One guy makes a statement and multiple others jump on him. When he tries to clarify his statement, they all disregard the clarification and go on and on with their spin. It all passed well beyond the realm of simple disagreement and into outright trolling...such as the stuff from Kobie.

What I said was spot on. You abuse the term "troll" and trot it out whenever someone with whom you disagree boxes you in.

As I see it, you use the insult "troll" more than anyone else in this forum. You've used it on me often...and I do not troll. I certainly use sarcasm and irony when called for...often for comic relief. If you think someone else uses it more...name the person and I'll give him/her some consideration on the matter.

Anyway...this is off topic.

I hope Trump chooses Gingrich (unless he chooses Sarah Palin, my top choice)...because I truly want Donald Trump to lose this next election by as much as possible. Gingrich or Palin would help.

I like Gingrich a lot, but he has more baggage than Jet Blue.

I think Rubio would be a good pick if they can walk back their insults. He could reel in Florida.

Condi Rice would be an outlier, but a plus for the moderate black vote.

He needs a black or Hispanic, popular governor in a swing state like, ahem, Ohio. Kasich is white, so who else is out there?

You've thoroughly embarrassed yourself here. Nobody but you misunderstood my post. (Neither did you, buy you want to distract from it's spot-on truth.)
