George Carlin’s stand-up routine on anti-abortionists from 1996 remains as relevant as ever | indy100

Never mind mandatory vasectomies: If conservatives really believed abortion was murder, they'd outlaw sex. From 100 conceptions there will be roughly 70 'natural abortions' (in the form of either failure to implant or later miscarriage), roughly 6 induced abortions in the USA and then the remaining 24 live births. Since they've decided that it's appropriate to restrict women's liberty based on an assumed, simplistic deontological rule in order to prevent those six induced abortions, logically it would make far more sense to prevent the seventy natural abortions also by restricting everyone's liberty equally.
