McCain wanted to repeal and replace the ACA, but the bill he gave a thumbs down to only repealed, and to give a thumbs up on a repeal only bill would leave millions without health care, those who acquired it via ACA, which would include me.

Repubs have had both the house, the senate, and the presidency for almost 2 years, and they still cannot get it together, about the only thing they can do is sabotage the ACA, and do nothing to make it work, or at least replace it.

He never said the repeal and replace had to be in the same bill when he was running for office. It's only later, when his donors told him he'd better not let repeal pass that he trotted out those weasel words.

Frankly, I don't believe he EVER wanted to repeal Obamacare. He straight up lied to his voters.

McCain is bright enough to know that if they repeal without replace it may be months before a replace is enacted, if ever, and in the interim Millions will go without Health Care. Doesn't matter if he said it or not in his campaign that he comes to realize it is what is important. His thumbs down vote was the correct and compassionate thing to do.

So to translate, the media treated John Mc Cain as they do any other Republican - like ****. They posted much more negative news that positive, and never held back their criticism. I won't even digress into Sarah Palin's treatment.

The media and the politicians that treated McCain like dirt when he was alive, lionized him in death.

The whole media show was Stormy Daniels without the tits. One big church full of "whores and and the men who love them", back slapping, ass kissing, self indulgent, opportunistic **** show to show America that the sooner the old guard is gone, the better.

The only person who had a dog in the fight was Megan McCain. The rest of them were noting more than media pimps reading poll tested, professionally produced speeches trying to buff up their 2020 resumes.

I heard the casket was moving, because McCain rolling over in at 500 RPM. They miss him because they can't torture him any longer.

I have no sympathy for Trump. He started the war with the media during the primaries, he has added fuel to that fire, more ammunition and bombs to it as time has gone by. Since they're still at war with each other, does it make any sense that the media would give Trump favorable treatment?

The road to peace is a two way street. Trump isn't interested. He keeps his base, his avid followers fired up by continuing to attack, attack, and attack the media more and more. His actions, his war, then he has the gall to complain about media coverage. It makes no sense.

Perhaps Trump should have taken a page out of Ronald Reagan's playbook. Either let the political attacks roll off his back or as he sometimes did, tell a self depreciating joke which immediately put the media on the defensive. He never attacked or made war with the media. After a while the media learned that attacking Reagan unwarrentedly was a losing proposition.

I suppose the bottom line is not to expect those whom you are war with, a war you started and won't relent to be nice and kind to you with the favorable treatment you think you deserve.

Actually, McCain helped Obama. He fully supported Obama in arming Syrian rebels...many of whom turned around, took their arms and joined ISIS. Of course, like Hillary, McCain never met a war he didn't like...he, like Obama and Hillary, were just too stupid to realize they were going to be taken advantage of.

I did not have Healthcare before the ACA, and before the ACA I could not get it because of pre-existing conditions. I once had to go to the ER and they billed me $4000 couldn't pay it and it destroyed my credit. Nor did they figure out what was wrong, the intern wasnt that experienced.. Once I finally got a CA the dr. at my new clinic gave the right diagnosis & medicine and now the problem is under control, all for $132 per month under ACA

Yes, I have access to a Rolls Royce, but I can't afford one.

Your point is meaningless, sure, technically speaking, before the ACA, everyone did have access, but the issue is affordability, not access.


In my own case, most policies I encountered for me ( self employed photographer) were around $600 per month, which I was unable to afford.

Passage of the ACA meaht that health care was now affordable, whereas before it was not.
