Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating[W:192] (1 Viewer)

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

I don't believe a word of it.

no one cares if you do or not. Literally zero people. Not even your mom.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

Nope - 7 and 5 are the females / males.
D'oh!
Wrong as usual.
This is what you get for not following the case.

The substitution shifts the makeup of the jury to seven women and five men. The jury includes four black women, three white women, three black men and two white men.

Alternate Replaces Ill Juror at Trial for Baltimore Officer Charged in Freddie Gray's Death | NBC4 Washington

"four black women"
"three black men"
That equals 7 black folks.

"three white women"
"two white men"
That equals 5 white folks.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

They all need to be convicted. I hope the jurors do the right thing.

Mistrial.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

A saw you viewed the thread and didn't answer the following and that is fine because you do not have to.

Well the cop who made the initial arrest should face civil rights charges,
For what?

As you didn't reply, the only thing I could figure you may have meant by that comment was the supposed false arrest.

So for those not knowledgeable about this incident.

The Prosecutor made a misleading claim in regards to the case about the arrest, saying that the knife was legal under the States law and therefore the arrest was unlawful. The Officers were charged with false imprisonment based on that.

The Prosecutor didn't pay attention to what he was actually arrested on.
It was a city law in which the knife was illegal, which made the arrest lawful.

The Prosecutor did not admit error but did have to drop the charges based on the incorrect false arrest scenario.

Been wrong before.

Not following closely, so not hand wringing about deadlock.

I care.

Therefor, you are wrong.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

If he had a body cam on him, we would know for a fact whether or not the victim was injured at the time he asked for medical assistance.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

We should really all have to pony up for reparations.
Reparations?
The idea is ridiculous.

You do not compensate others for an act that was legal that did not affect them.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

If he had a body cam on him, we would know for a fact whether or not the victim was injured at the time he asked for medical assistance.

Unfortunately the only evidence we have is that the Officer testified that Freddie could not articulate any valid reason he needed medical assistance and that he saw of none at those times.
Coupled with the known fact that arrestees often fake injury, it becomes pretty evident that is what was happening.

The fact that he was communicating and able to continue making a commotion in the rear of the van would be an indication that he had not suffered the spinal injury yet.

Yes the injury occurred when the cops murdered him.

Wrong.
There was no murder.

Body cams will eventually become standard issue equipment, you are correct on all fours about that.

Slavery was/is a crime against humanity that has repercussions that last for generations if not centuries. Fortunately that is being partially addressed as the country becomes less and less white.

Mistrial.

The right thing is whatever happens.

Looks like the 12 of them could not agree.

Will be interesting to eventually know what the score was for and against.

Would you consider yourself racist?

At the time it was not.
So just stop with the nonsense.
And if you really want to ridiculously hold those accountable for the legal act of slavery, you need to hold those who sold the slaves in the first place.

Re: Freddie Gray case: Judge tells deadlocked jurors to keep deliberating

Mistrial eh?

I wonder how many more buildings are going to be burned in Baltimore tonight. The professional protesters are out and about. What trouble are they going to stir up, agitate?

Key thing here is that the prosecution, that idiot racist Mosby, won't have this first one as a witness in the rest of her cases.
Would seem to be quite a blow to her prosecution cases.

Should be a whole bunch on fire soon.

Make Ferguson MO look like a girl scout camp.

The Turks and the Arabs proliferated slavery in the 1400's through the 1800's.

Their business did not dry up until the USA legislatively prohibited further slave importation.

So that's a good place to put the blame then -- on Allah.

Just a technical point however.

Not even remotely related to Baltimore, which will be on fire tonight.

Yeah, <*sigh*> probably.

I suppose you just can't stop people who are bound and determined to damage themselves, killing off their businesses, employment opportunities, local economy.
