Fox News Poll: As election nears, voters say things are 'going to hell in a handbasket' | Fox News

The new poll, released Wednesday, finds 58 percent of voters feel things in the world are “going to hell in a handbasket.” That includes nearly half of Democrats (48 percent) and majorities of independents (61 percent) and Republicans (71 percent)

FOX News Poll since 2008: Country going to hell in a handbasket.

Re: Fox News Poll: As election nears, voters say things are 'going to hell in a handb

FOX News Poll since 2008: Country going to hell in a handbasket.

Of course that's what Fox "News" says, because there's a Democrat in the White House. They work for the Republican Party, and the Republican Party has nothing to offer but fear and resentment. Fox "News" spends 24 hours a day stoking that fear and that resentment.

It's what they do.

A more interesting paragraph in that article is :
Despite all that negative sentiment toward the administration, the poll shows Republicans have failed to make significant gains this election season -- mostly because voters think they stink too.

For example, views of the Republican Party are more negative than positive by 18 points (36 favorable vs. 54 unfavorable), while the Democratic Party is underwater by just 7 points (43 favorable vs. 50 unfavorable).

Just because the President's numbers are down in the poll doesn't mean that the public is racing to the Republicans. As a matter of fact it is just the opposite. The correct title for this article is the country is tired of both Republicans and Democrats.

Hey "Navy Pride", (I'm a retired Commander, by the way), if my comments above are "crap," then you must believe that Fox "News" is what, reporting the news with no bias? With no agenda? You think Roger Ailes is only concerned with accuracy and reason? Is that what you believe?

You don't think Fox is whipping up hysteria about Ebola because it suits their political agenda? Really?

Have you ever noticed that Fox is usually totally wrong about what they report, but then never goes back and corrects it, or admits it?

Look at how they reported Obamacare. It was the end of all things, remember? It was going to bankrupt the country, remember? But then the CBO ended up reporting that it was actually going to decrease the deficit, not increase it. No apologies from Fox!
Then no one was going to sign up, remember? But then it turns out that more people signed up than projected. No apologies from Fox!
Then okay, people were signing up, but they weren't going to actually pay the premiums, remember? But now it turns out that they are paying just fine. No apologies from Fox!

No, Fox just moves on to their next obsession, their next thing to be afraid of, to be outraged over! Benghazi!

Immigrant ISUS terrorists infected with Ebola are pouring across our borders!

Run! Fear for your lives! It's all Obama's fault!!!!

What a laugh.

You could also look at all the polls dealing with this nation being on the right track or wrong track. RCP average of 9 different polling firms show only 28.9% think this country is headed in the right direction opposed to 63.3% which think our country is headed in the wrong direction.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Direction of Country

But how all of this will effect the upcoming election is uncertain at this time. In November of 2012 when President Obama won reelection the numbers were 40% right track, 54.7% wrong track. In November of 2010 when the GOP gained 63 house seats and 6 senate seats the right/wrong track was 31.2% right track, 63.6% wrong track.

One would assume with this history the GOP should gain the senate. But it all depends on whom the voters put the blame for the country being on the wrong track, the Republican House or President Obama and the Democratic Senate.

When faced with only rhetorical non-specific accusations I can but respond in kind.

Do we have problems? Yes every country has problems. To say "Oh God Obama got elected then everything went to hell! Then hell, he made it worse! And now we are really really ****ed" is really, just dumb.

Or you could even title it "Obama wildly more popular than Republican Congress Members."

Or "Republican Congress Delegation at record low approval levels"

Or "Public Fed Up With the GOP: 18% Approval of the Republican Party"

Re: Fox News Poll: As election nears, voters say things are 'going to hell in a handb

Fox News Polls are always 6 to 10 points to the right of the rest of the polls for any given scenario.
Don't believe me--check any possible scenario on RealClearPolitics--the premier tabulation of all polls .

OK, that is true, but find me a poll that doesn't find the same trends in the same positions. PLEASE???? What do the liberally leaning polls say?

That is so very true, and I am close to being the most profound believer in that direction

Thank you for your service Cdr............That said Your probably new Navy.....I bet your no mustang either........You could not have hacked it in the old Navy when we had wooden boats and steel men and 90% o the crew were Conservative and not bleeding heart liberals.

Re: Fox News Poll: As election nears, voters say things are 'going to hell in a handb

I won't deny Fox News leans to the right a little.........Not as far right as MSNBC and CNN lean to the left though...That is why they knock the socks of of them in the ratings and its my opinion they allow to many lefties on there unlike MSNBC and CNN who have almost no Conservatives on air and they trail big time in the ratings.
