It's not that they had it coming, its more like they got they wanted.
Why were they there if not to provoke the very people whose livelihoods they are helping to destroy?
While I may not agree with him, I think he's speaking to the how it was done and not that there was disagreement. People should control themselves even when dealing with an ass, which is where I might disagree with him.

A section of the Fox News broadcast preserved by the Web site Mediaite shows that Mr. Hannity’s producers at Fox News started the clip five seconds earlier than Mr. Crowder did. What the extra footage reveals is the man who punched Mr. Crowder being knocked to the ground seconds before and then getting up and taking a swing at the comedian.
There is one more anomaly in Mr. Crowder’s edit of the footage shot by his associates. The still frame he used for the clip’s title image on YouTube, which offers a much clearer image of the man punching him, was obviously shot by a second camera, from an entirely different angle than the rest of the footage he presented of the man hitting him. If Mr. Crowder wants to clear up the mystery of exactly what happened just before he was punched, it might make sense for him to release any footage of the incident shot from that second angle....

Nevermind that Republicans didn't consider the unions rights when they passed the right to work legislation without notice, debate, vote or a referendum. At least in the video you provided, I did not see what you claim happened...Now it is obvious that the video was edited, so if you have something that shows this supposed 'first move' on Crowder's part, I am open to see it...

It isn't edited. You just don't see the reason why he fell to the ground. But we can see it is not because of Crowder.

A spokesperson for conservative group Americans For Prosperity told TPM on Thursday the tent’s collapse this week during protests outside the state capitol may have been instigated not by union protesters — some of whom were “helping us” after the tent collapse, she said — but rather by “radical anarchists” wearing Guy Fawkes masks and coming from the Occupy movement. ... I don't think you can tell exactly what happened, but I have to admit that I'm on the fence here. Crowder had his hands on him (the guy who punched him), and then the guy fell before getting up and throwing the punches.
So how do you think he fell down if Crowder didn't push him?
