Washington, D.C. - Today, after Fox News responded to White House criticism with the demonstrably false defense that, unlike the network's "editorial" programs, its "news" programs are straight and objective, Media Matters for America released a video demonstrating that Fox News' dayside programming unquestionably echoes the tones, themes, and content of its evening opinion programming. In fact, the parallels are so clear that the network's daytime anchors often seem to be taking direct marching orders from their colleagues like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.
Media matters? Really? What next are you going to go to iran to ask about how biased jews are next?

Just ask Rush about the Daily KOS.
I am sure that Media Matters says the same of MSNBC no?

I am sure that they don't; however whether or not they do has nothing to do with the FOX NEWS VIDEO CLIPS above.
Just ask Rush about the Daily KOS.
Does Rush spend alot of time talking about dkos?

but that a news network has to be disciplined about separating the new and editorial content. FNC continues to blur the line in way that makes them less credible overall.
:rofl yeah, I am sure they don't either, which is the point isn't it? :rofl

Do you find MSNBC meets your expectations with respect to separating news and editorials?.. functioning minds want to know!

Jack, look at the ratings for Fox and accept defeat and repudiation with good grace.
Appeal to Ridicule... I'm surprised Rev. I know you're smart enough to actually address the point made by the video which is although FNC claims its mid-day 'News' programming is fair and balanced, too often the editorial and opinion content from the other FNC shows spills over to the so-called news shows.
This technique of Fox repeating talking points throughout the day is well documented.
My position is not that any one talking point is valid or not, but that a news network has to be disciplined about separating the new and editorial content. FNC continues to blur the line in way that makes them less credible overall.
I like Bret Baier and usually turn him own right when I get home. However, when I see his time being used by the network to interject something that is obviously Hannity/Beck far-right propaganda, I am disappointed. Shepard Smith is much better at side-stepping this and doing a straight news show.
I will continue to tune into specific FNC shows to hear a different perspective. But I do so, knowing full well what I'm watching.

MSNBC
Cleanup on aisle three, seems to be some spillover.
You have got to be kidding. Really... that is your proof?
Show me visible evidence that opinion shows on CNN and MSNBC spill out into their news. Not some article in which the "Pew You" organization got 4 zit faced teennagers to decipher what is bias and what is not for a one month time period. Pease, Rev! :doh
???
WTF are you talking about? Have you followed the thread at all? Or do you see Fox and MSNBC and just scream "We win!"
Besides, if the far-right lunatic conspiracy theory about ALL other news outlets having a liberal bias is true... Then you're getting your ass handed to you. Add up the numbers of all the other networks combined.
Choke on it, Sparky.
Even with the expansion of cable television--CNN, FOX are still just blips on the screen compared to ABC/NBC/CBS...
as soon as you all show me the same for fox that didn't come from a media matters hack.
Jeesh, :doh
