A former campaign staffer for US Sen. Rand Paul has been charged with channeling money from Russia into the 2016 presidential election, the US Department of Justice said Monday. In an unsealed indictment, dated September 9, prosecutors allege Jesse Benton "conspired to illegally funnel thousands of dollars of foreign money from a Russian foreign national" into the campaign.
In October 2016, Benton received a $100,000 wire transfer from the unnamed Russian national, the indictment states, promising him that he would get to "meet a celebrity" at a fundraiser in Philadelphia on September 22, 2016. Prosecutors do not name the candidate, but former President Donald Trump was hosting a fundraiser that night at the Ritz-Carlton in Center City, Philadelphia.

And he pocketed most of it too!

Which is hilarious!

Especially when you consider the way Casino Jack Abramoff complained about the 25% rake off that Grover Nordquist was taking on the casino money laundering!

A hundred G's? wow, did he buy 5 minutes of major network time? :ROFLMAO:

YOU GOT HIM NOW!!

Convicted of finance crimes for a Ron Paul campaign. Indicted for Russian related campaign finance crimes for a Trump campaign.
Also worked on Mitch's and Rand's campaigns.
Hmmm.

They love their criminals.

Is your DP name supposed to totally own the libs? It is stupidly self-defeating. Nobody looks at a name like that and thinks "I need to read this post."
That tells us all we need to know.

NOT BREAKING NEWS

Sep 20, 2021,

It's not a breaking story.....
Don't waste time reading all the hate Trump threads.
Yes, it is. The first post grabbed a link to an older story related to the breaking news story.

Again, I suggest you read the thread. Then your future comments won't look so foolish.

The way some of these ****s shower Putin with praise, it's a given that Russian money is involved. Why the hell would you go out of your way to praise a piece of shit dictator like Putin unless you were getting paid to? Same with some of the assholes on the left like Glenn Greenwald, just like with that anti-American piece of shit Tucker Carlson, it is obvious that either someone in the Kremlin has something on them, or is throwing money their way.

I don't get it. The normal, rational thing for someone like @Common Sense 1 to say would be something as simple as "I'm glad they're indicted, we don't need Russian money in our elections" but because there is a red line not to be crossed (showing any kind of shade on fellow soldiers) he will go to the ends of the earth to deflect, obfuscate, nit-pick or, in this case, flat-out lie about the article being new.

This blind loyalty is just weird.

This is something 100% of us should be on the same side about. Well not the Q crazies, but at least the other 75% of conservatives.

To some, Putin and Russia are the good guys.
