Former Rand Paul aide, pardoned by Trump, charged with funneling Russian money into 2016 election

A hundred G's? wow, did he buy 5 minutes of major network time? :ROFLMAO:

Are you telling us that it’s OK for a foreign intellgence service to seed money covertly into American elections simply because the amount was relatively small.

Be in no doubt that this is not the only one.

Maria Butina had quite a grand time diddling the fat white guys at the NRA, and GOP congressmen got the Russian money (less the NRA rake off).

I don't get it. The normal, rational thing for someone like @Common Sense 1 to say would be something as simple as "I'm glad they're indicted, we don't need Russian money in our elections" but because there is a red line not to be crossed (showing any kind of shade on fellow soldiers) he will go to the ends of the earth to deflect, obfuscate, nit-pick or, in this case, flat-out lie about the article being new.

This blind loyalty is just weird.

This is something 100% of us should be on the same side about. Well not the Q crazies, but at least the other 75% of conservatives.

Trump nation has no shame.

Convicted of finance crimes for a Ron Paul campaign. Indicted for Russian related campaign finance crimes for a Trump campaign.
Also worked on Mitch's and Rand's campaigns.
Hmmm.

Just remember that McConnell blocked the Senate from revoking the Trump order to cancel sanctions on Oleg Deipashka’s aluminum business (specifically).

And the McConnell was rewarded by Deripashka with a promise (as yet unfulfilled) to build and aluminum smelter on the Ohio River, just In time for McConnell’s last election campaign.

That’s the same Deripashka that Paul Manafort scammed out of $12 million, and then begged the Trump campaign to hire him for free, so he could “wipe the slate” by handing over secret campaign data to Russian intelligence.

Republicans might as well just come out as pro-Putin and pro-Russian, quit hiding it.

I wouldn’t say that of Republicans in general.

But of trump nation, it‘s pretty obvious. Not out of love for Putin. But because their fuhrer does.

But Hunter got a board seat at Burisma and stuff!

Republicans do love their criminals. Pardons all around...oops, this bozo can't keep his hands clean for a minute. Rand really knows how to pick'em.
Go Putin! All that Russian money finds easy victims in the Republican party...from Trump's campaign chairman to the NRA to this guy...

Not exactly. What he's saying is that he's okay laundering Russian oligarch money into our politics only if it goes into Republican coffers.

Here is a breaking news story about it dated 3/7/22. I think the Russian revelation is new, he was pardoned by Trump for a different campaign finance shenanigan.

The defence position is going to be that Mr. Trump's pardon covered ALL campaign finance illegalities.

Of course, if he has been pardoned with respect to this particular offence, then his evidence can NOT "tend to incriminate" him, and so he will have no grounds for any Fifth Amendment claims.
