Former president Obama wants America to have gun control laws like Australia.

Why would I bother? You'd just start insulting or go off on some crazy tangent or start pulling stats out of your ass.

Oh wait, you already did.
I am not pulling stats out my ass. I looked at the stats. On average there is 12 to 20 thousand murders per year involving the use of a firearm. Around ten to twelve thousad murder a year involving the use of a firearm was the norm before the pandemic. Suicides involving the use of a firearm is around 15 to 25 thousand plus a year.

So in otherwords you can't defend using a dishonest piece of shit term used by anti-2nd amendment trash to decieve people who don't know any better into thinking we have 30 to 50 thousand murders a year instead of 12 to 20 thousand murders a year.

When people want to take away rights from a minority, they will rationalize their actions in all sorts of goofy ways.

If the phrase "gun violence" really hurts your feelings, let the NRA, the Heritage Foundation, conservative people in Congress, etc. know about it

They all use the phrase.

You have it wrong, Lib-tards would suck up to big government and wouldn't have a gun.
No, I have it right.
You reckon it was conservatives who boarded a ship in Boston harbour and tossed the kegs of tea into the saltchuck? No, the Tories were loyal to the crown.
The Conservative Party are still called Tories in Canada and Britain. And where I live pretty much every house contains at least one liberal and at least one gun. My house contained two of each until recently.

From what I understand Eurotrash have a different meaning of what a conservative is. To them Joe Biden and Barrack Obama are conservative.

Do they use it in the same way, for the same reasons? If so, they're wrong too.

All happened a looong way from Canada. A long way from the country where the American invasion failed so dismally.
Do American schools tell you about those invasions and how those militias mentioned in the 2nd amendment heard the guns in the distance and refused to engage? "But it was supposed to be easy!"
But whatshisname sang about the battle of New Orleans so it was all a shiny American victory.

The British invasion managed to fail even more dismally....and those were supposedly the best soldiers in the world, as opposed to ragtag militias. As it turned out, all it took was a general capable of scaring the militias into doing their job ;)

It's a term they actually use. I'm 99% sure you'll try to spin this but here goes. Have a lovely day.

Gun control supporters in the public health field claim that gun violence is an "epidemic," but gun violence is alien to most people's experiences

So what if “We the people” want these potentially hazardous tools better regulated in our society?

If you can compose such "regulations" so they have zero impact on the right to keep and bear arms, then they could be considered. If your proposals intend to restrict the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms, then you need to change the Constitution to allow you to enact those laws.

Or are we forced to continue to live in terror like this forever because we are such a free and proud people?

That the right to keep and bear arms is enumerated, takes certain policy choices off the table. Can't you think of ways to restrict / restrain criminals without impacting the right of non-criminals to keep and bear arms?

Lumping in self inflicted deaths IE suicides in with murders is a dumb post. The only reason for it is to deceive people. Because if ant-2nd amendment trash know most people will ignore the suicides, and justifiable shootings by cops and people defending themselves and others. and possibly not be scared of the 12 to 20 thousand plus a year murders involving the use of a firearm.

How about 271 mass shootings in 2023? More mass shootings than days.

And 5,406 mass shootings since 2013.

Do you those numbers should scare people?

It's a term they actually use.

So in otherwors they talking about what anti-2nd amednent trash are talking about, not actually using the terms themselves.

Wrong. You answered so quickly that it was impossible for you to have even clicked the links.

I don't know any Eurotrash or what they think and I doubt that you do either. If it's any help to you Boris Johnson was a Conservative Party Prime Minister. Vladimir Putin is a conservative too.

There hasn't been 271 mass shootings. Mass shootings are where four or more people have been murdered by someone using a gun. Not the definition used by anti-2nd amendment trash of four or more shot regardless if anyone has been killed.

For the purposes of tracking crime data, the FBI defines a "mass shooting" as any incident in which at least four people are murdered with a gun.

Loony leftist in Canada and European countries have a very low bar of who is considered a conservative. Basically anyone slightly to the right of Moa, Lenin, Castro or some other communist or socialist. Which is why they probably consider Joe Biden and Barrack Obama conservative.

5406

The Mass Shooting Tracker is a crowd-sourced database of U.S. mass shootings. We define a “mass shooting” as a single outburst of violence in which four or more people are shot. This is not the same as mass murder as defined by the FBI. Learn more here.

one link is an articles of what anti-2nd amendment trash are talking about. And I am sure the other is talking about gun related crime not suicides.

So its a anti-2nd amendment group are using the modified definition of mass shooting to mean four or more shot regardless if anyone died or not. not the actual definition of mass shooting. They openly admit that they are not using the actual definition of mass shooting.

MotherJones is a anti-2nd amendment but they don't use that fraudulent definition used by that anti-2nd amendment trash group. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/mass-shootings-map/

The war started with American invasions of Canada and after they were driven back the rest of the war played out on American soil. The best soldiers in the world were fighting the Peninsular War against the second-best soldiers, Napoleon's French.
It must represent a triumph of American education, convincing American students that the War of 1812 was a victory. The invasions didn't actually result in America being dismantled so I guess there's that much victory in it.

Mass shootings are mass shootings.

Or should we only be concerned when people die?

I think getting shot is pretty horrible. But hey, you have to obfuscate any data that goes against your outdated, backward way of seeing things.

Now you're just pulling nuggets out of your ass.
Hasta la vista.

No, "mass shootings are mass shootings" is false, or there wouldn't be several definitions of the term.

It's idiocy anyway...like referring to three guys holding signs on a sidewalk as "a mass protest.

Mass "shootings" is many people getting shot. Bickering over many die or not only matters to people trying to downplay these tragedies.

"A single outburst of violence in which four or more people are shot" sounds like an accurate definition.

Why would three people not be as accurate? That wouldn't be downplaying the issue.
