First charges filed in Mueller investigation

Words have meanings. When I quote you and ascribe the words you use to the definitions given to them in any dictionary of the English language, you say something like you just said, i.e., I meant something I never said because my earlier statement is no longer advantageous to me.

You're disingenuous. Just stop lying; and I (and probably other people) will consider your opinions.

Oh, I mean't everything I said. Not my problem if you don't understand what you read.

Anyway, it's obvious you have nothing to say except to talk about me. I see that as unproductive.

Harper was a minor player as head of a small faction of the Canadian right out in the west until he hit a mother lode simply by never putting down his shovel. And no matter how youse squirm about it you do have a Trudeau Dynasty you'll hear more from besides.

So we see once again the things that happen when you start hollering into your neighbor's yard about the weeds in his garden. My point is that as go Putin and Trump so goes Canada. It is not the other way around izzit. Youse are still happily a possession of the British Crown and its governour general up there so youse might want to consider treading a bit more delicately in this. I reiterate politics is being changed by the Mueller investigation and that we'll pick up on what we'll have at the other end of this. Presently it is first things first, i.e., support and have confidence in the jurors in the grand jury room. Jurors in USA being jurors, they'll tell Mueller to buzz out anytime they might not like what he serves 'em. So far so good with more of it to be expected.

You know what professor, I don't care.

You have spewed nothing but opinion and not bothered to even try to document your claims, typical of the Harper gang.

We fired you. We let Stevie have his majority and he turned into a tightwad idiologue. After working for the Reform, and later the conservatives, I joined the rest of Canada a voted Liberal.

So now the Tory bleat is "Trudeau Dynasty" as your own "crooked Hillary"

Good luck with that.

But I am one who won't be listening.

Good bye, we will not speak again. I am so ****ing tired of the whining, racist Canadian right I'd puke if I engage you any longer

You'll have to explain how spending up to 20 years in prison and forfeiting 10s of $millions in assets doesn't provide a strong "inducement" for Manafort to cooperate with Federal prosecutors. Seems delusional to me.

Mueller will be out of his special prosecutor job long before Manafort is convicted of anything.

I'm not sure. I've read reports, such as this one in NYT, that assert money laundering itself carries a charge of up to 20 years.

Thank you

Found this as yesterday I was reading links that had 5 as the max. I must have been thinking of the statute of limitations.

https://www.pagepate.com/experience/criminal-defense/federal-crimes/federal-money-laundering/

There are two federal criminal laws that specifically address money laundering. The first law (18 U.S.C. §1956) makes it a crime for any person to engage in a financial transaction with money that was obtained from criminal activity with the intent to try and promote the criminal activity or conceal it. The second law (18 U.S.C. §1957) makes it a crime for a person to engage in a monetary transaction in an amount greater than $10,000, knowing that the money was obtained through criminal activity.

Money laundering is a serious crime under federal law. A violation of 18 U.S.C. §1956 can result in a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. A violation of 18 U.S.C. §1957 can result in a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. As with most federal financial crimes, the exact sentence will be determined primarily by the amount of money involved in the offense.

Just because Trump said it is "fake" does not make it so.

It wasn't only Trump that said it. It was the Washington Post and the New York Times. Fusion GPS and that other news organization that claims to be "conservative" both will soon it admit it's a fake. Christopher Steele will have no choice but to admit he helped compile it. The only people that won't fess up to anything are both the DNC and the Hillary Campaign. So again, this isn't Trump just saying this.

Mueller will be out of his special prosecutor job long before Manafort is convicted of anything.

So the reason Mueller cannot "induce" cooperation is Trump will obstruct the investigation by firing Mueller? That's possible, I guess, but also delusional. It won't make the charges go away against Manafort, and unless we are truly a banana republic, the Justice department will have to pursue those obvious crimes.

Maybe you believe Trump will act like a tinpot dictator and pardon Manafort. Good defense of Trump!

These kinds of comments are terrifying and irrational:
"The bottom line is...as long as it hurts Hillary-Billary...I'm happy."

I heard that dog whistle too:
"Canadian PM Pixey-Dust"

You find a person who can admit his likes and dislikes..."terrifying and irrational"???

See...this is a good example of why I just cannot go along with this condescending, group-think crapolla.
No...I have NEVER liked Hillary-Billary. I have always thought she's a selfish little b&%ch.
As for Justin...I just think he's embarrassing...and a bit dangerous.

But if your goal here is to impose your "superior" ideas...then maybe you should feel the comments "terrifying" at least.
I may be the worst opposition this neo-Liberal cause has. A person who has supported Liberal governments and agendas before, and now find most of you not worth the bandwidth.

Is it "obvious"? Search my contributions to this thread and discover that you don't know what that word means either.

I'm just trying to help you.

What in the hell are you talking about? Steele has worked with FBI and Mueller's team, given them his contacts, the actual names. Why would he need to "admit" something he not only admitted long ago to helping compile but wanted what he compiled to be provided to U.S. IC folks, and did provide them, then work with them on those documents?

No, I find a person who says, "The bottom line is...as long as it hurts [anyone]...I'm happy," to be terrifying and irrational.

I have never liked Hillary Clinton. I'm just trying to clarify your false assumptions and censored language.

I hope this helped.

Again...the issue isn't who approved the deal.

I know. The issue is that the "privatize everything" Right is now against private ownership of our Uranium reserves and a sale that transfers less than 2% of our yearly usage of Uranium from Canada to Russia is now treason. Its' nuts, but what else do you have?

The issue with U1 isn't who approved the deal. It's who hid vital info from those who approved the deal...and who got paid to to facilitate the approval. That's where the Clintons, Obama and his minions...including Mueller...are up to their eyeballs in Russian collusion.
Do tell...

You are kidding, of course...right?
Please don't tell me you actually find; "The bottom line is...as long as it hurts Hillary-Billary...I'm happy." concerning?
Have you grown up on Earth? Have you grown up?

Far more than than you have apparently. Find words that suit your meaning. Or just keep being inflammatory if you think that works for you.

Uh, well, if you're getting paid a million dollars to lie and you happen to be so greedy you'll do whatever it takes to get that money, I'm sure you'd do this. So that would involve naming names, events, timelines, working with all the opponents of whoever it is, and you get the money. If Steele worked for MI6, a foreign agency who is a part of England, and American campaigns and political parties worked with them, that right there is collusion. Thus an investigation should be done on that instead of the farce we have now.

So...in a bubble I must surmise.
OK...

The useful idiot rabble won't be happy unless Trump is walked out of the WH in chains.

Mueller is playing political games and the longer he does it, the more likely he'll be removed as special prosecutor. He knows this and that's why he leaked this indictment thing and has charged Manafort. Fact is, this Manafort business has nothing to do with Trump/Russia.

Mueller is scrambling to save his own ass. Congress is going to hang it out on the line with this Uranium One deal.
Oh, great idea! Fire Mueller! That world guarantee articles of impeachment being filed }

errr...it's possible that Mueller has nothing else.
That he's blown his load...so to speak...to show something...anything.

You're probably right being that he's closed his case and shuttered the doors now. /sarcasm

So you're just moving the goal posts all over the place. First you say Steele will have to "admit" to stuff he not only admitted to but brought to the attention of the U.S. intelligence community. Now you say, well, of course he did because he was paid to lie. But why would he intentionally lie, including sharing his named sources with the U.S. if this was all made up?

Then you say, "If Steele [insert something that did not happen], then _______?" Well, perhaps, but we don't care because he didn't work for MI6. He was a private consultant/investigator.

It's kind of amazing what contortions Trump lemmings will go through to buy into this stupid conspiracy theory.

I just watched the WH press meeting and questions. They say the investigation is winding down.
They'd likely know better that...you...right?

The whitehouse says this? And you believe the whitehouse at this point and especially on this topic? You are adorable.

Yes well thanks but I doubt I'm your type.
What the WH says, is probably a little more accurate than your wishful feelings.

No conspiracy theory, other than Trump colluding with Russia. Read the report from WaPo on that, and you'll find out (but I know you won't).

Are you talking about Sanders? She's an awesome press secretary because she lies with the same ease Trump does.
