Women commonly consider themselves part of a minority group. Statistically, females consist of approximately half of the population, while they have been historically underrepresented in various fields, offices and vocations. And that is true - women consist of a minority of disconnected workers and students. The number of women who are unemployed and not in school has steadily decreased since the 1960's. Some would say that the first wave feminists succeeded in their dream of realizing equality of the sexes and/or, did the very best for women that anyone could have done under those circumstances, regardless of whether or not they were actively discriminated against by men. Perhaps the best measure of improvement is not by how much money one takes, or how powerful one is, but by whether or not one is more educable and more employable.
Likewise, tolerance of men is perhaps the best measure of how equal a feminist society is. For example, the measure of success is not how much money that women make for themselves, but how much they are willing to calculate as an hourly wage for breakfast, lunch dinner, and raw materials when calculating alimoney. There may be no better arena for this measure than sexual intercourse. But do feminists tolerate male sexuality? Yes, to an extent. When sperm enters a woman's vagina, on the other hand, not all feminists can resist throwing men under the bus. This is the line that is drawn in the sand. So, in other words, "my body, my choice," is not about equality at all. In fact, it's not just about bodies, either. We act with our bodies in the world. We make sounds with our mouths so we may socialize. And while it might seem like a crazy conspiracy that men should enjoy equal protection under the law, men also make choices with their bodies. One of those choices is sexual intercourse, of which the goal for many men is orgasm, which is commonly achieved via ejaculation.
How does this all relate to feminism? Well, feminism is no longer about equality of the sexes. In theory, we have passed that point. But unless women are equal to men in all things except greediness, then they will continue to want more, and more. Therefore, feminists are interested in promoting women's rights, advocating for women's issues in various academic and business arenas, and improving conditions for women at the expense of men.
It doesn't seem so bad, does it? But wait, there's more. If we are to be a competitive society, then it makes sense that women should be able to stab just as many people in the back as men do, and minimize the ratio of backstabbing to pie in the sky. Greed is just a part of a capitalist society, who is to tell women that they shouldn't be greedy? Well, they are, but that's not the point. The point is that some of these women harbor feelings of resentment against men which are exhibited in latent female chauvinism.
And if you thought that was scary, I'm going to dress up as a feminist for Halloween.
Like this guy. Chicks dig Ryan Gosling. #SheKnows
