FOXNews.com - FBI: Mexican soldiers used rifles to chase off U.S. Border PatrolCIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Pointing their rifles, Mexican security forces chased away U.S. authorities investigating the shooting of a 15-year-old Mexican by a U.S. Border Patrol agent on the banks of the Rio Grande, the FBI and witnesses told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
The killing of the Mexican by U.S. authorities — the second in less than two weeks — has exposed the distrust between the two countries that lies just below the surface, and has enraged Mexicans who see the death of the boy on Mexican soil as an act of murder.
Shortly after the boy was shot, Mexican soldiers arrived at the scene and pointed their guns at the Border Patrol agents across the riverbank while bystanders screamed insults and hurled rocks and firecrackers, FBI spokeswoman Andrea Simmons said. She said the agents were forced to withdraw.
"It pretty quickly got very intense over on the Mexican side," she said, adding that FBI agents showed up later and resumed the investigation, even as Mexican authorities pointed guns at them from across the river.
A relative of the dead boy who had been playing with him told the AP that the Mexicans — who he described as federal police, not soldiers — pointed their guns only when the Americans waded into the mud in an apparent attempt to cross into Mexico.
The Mexican authorities accused the Americans of trying to recover evidence from Mexican soil and threatened to kill them if they crossed the border, prompting both sides to draw their guns, said the 16-year-old boy who asked not to be further identified for fear of reprisal.
not sure what your point is; can it be assumed you approve of the mexican authority's actions to prevent an outside entity's attempts to potentially contaminate the evidence of the incident?
Oh wow - look at that. Hurling rocks and firecrackers.
Why didn't they just open fire and kill them all? Afterall, rocks and firecrackers are lethal force, no?
Here you are asking whether someone supports mexican authority to prevent contamination of evidence, but the premise could be reversed as well. The real irony is that you are participating in this international thread while donning an anti-semitic signature.

That the Mexican "Authorities" threatened to kill our people.
Folks, put everything else aside, just what do you think would happen if Mexican and US Agents got into a shoot out? Hmmm? That's bad mmmkay? B-A-D.
This is horribly off topic but you think THAT is anti-semitic? Are you serious? You can't possibly be. What if I said "we are negotiating about dividing a pizza and in the meantime Palestine is blow it up?" Would that be anti-Palestinian? racist? something else horribly negative? You have to be joking, tired, drunk or something else. You'd probably call me an anti-semite if I had a bagel without cream cheese.

do you really believe that would be the intent of American law enforcement? Really?

So your position is we should not defend ourselves? Are you that far gone?
The Mexicans were right to prevent armed foreigners, who had already shot and killed a Mexican national on Mexican soil, from crossing their border.
They would have been right to shoot them if they had pressed the issue. In fact, since the US border patrol actually shot someone who was on the Mexican side of the border that was not armed with any type of legitimate weapon, they need to be prosecuted. That is an act of war.

Yes, acts of war and murder that we have kindly overlooked. If they want to play hardball, maybe we should send our real military down there, so the Mexican troops can pull their pistolas out on a real army, and see how that works out for them.
How many times have you said we shouldnt just threaten to kill, but just outright kill, Mexicans attempting to cross the border. Note: thats attempting, not already have. I'm seeing a big double standard for border control among some people here.

Just because we failed to react to those situations correctly, doesn't mean they shouldn't react to ours correctly.
Also, how many US nationals died in those instances?
Ah, wait - I thought we were the Iching of knowledge and action?
We cannot BET on others acting in any way that we deem appropriate - no matter who it is and what's going on. We can only (should only) try to expect the "right thing" from our own troops and our own selves.
And you show why no one takes you seriously.
This "kid" was a wanted criminal endangering our people. They responded accordingly and you want them prosecuted.
Just why should they be prosecuted? Thinking like yours, gets law enforcement killed. They face a dangerous situation and fear pulling the trigger because they might get prosecuted by someone like you that doesn't care about their rights, their well being.
You Tucker, have officially earned my utter contempt.
