Fauci says Covid booster shots are now ‘inevitable’

He should probably get on the same sheet of music with the CDC.

Of course, none of them...not Fauci, not the CDC...can avoid using words like "may", "likely". You know...weasel words.

They're also words that express uncertainty, when the outcome isn't at this point certain. It's why we have those words.

I have natural immunity plus a ton of odds in my favor. The vaccine is all risk with little benefit for me. No thx. ymmv

Natural immunity as in you already had covid?

I think it's inevitable that Trump and his supporters will pay for what they have done.

God. How long must sane people fight those who will cause more death of living and breathing Americans?

They're also words that express uncertainty, when the outcome isn't at this point certain. It's why we have those words.
If they don't have any "certainty" then they should shut the **** up until they do.

(Unless their goal is to generate fear. Then they are doing the right thing.)

Natural immunity from all variants? Good luck with that one.
Let them wallow in ignorance. The Bible spoke of such types long before those types that are encountered in these internet Forums were ever born.

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

But a stupid man will get understanding when a wild donkey's colt is born a man!

Well that sure escalated quickly. Go from, might, could, may, possibly, likely to ....... inevitable. Goal post fabricators are hiring urgently.

Think I'll wait for the super duper booster down the line. Instead of taking 14 shots, I'll wait for the super duper Fauci stab

Bravo!

“Inevitably there will be a time when we’ll have to give boosts” to the general population, Dr Facui said. “What we’re doing literally on a weekly and monthly basis is following cohorts of patients to determine if, when and whom should get it.

People get a different flu shot every year because the virus evolves. Covid19 is rapidly evolving, or did you miss that fact? There are 3+ known variants.

Many vaccines have boosters every 5-10 years. I got a tetanus booster a year ago because mine had been too long ago. Are you suggesting that the tetanus vaccine also doesn't work?

I have natural immunity plus a ton of odds in my favor. The vaccine is all risk with little benefit for me. No thx. ymmv
If there was a natural immunity to Covid19 then there wouldn't need a vaccine. 635,000 dead Americans are proof of that.

I have natural immunity. Plus all kinds of vaccines. Just not this one.

Yea, if there was not natural immunity it would be 170,635,000 potential deaths

How do you know that you have a natural immunity to Covid19? Did Zerohedge also tell you that?

There is no such thing as potential deaths.

That doesn't even make sense. Keeping people informed, even in periods of uncertainty, is a normal part of being a leader. And I have no idea how talking about booster shots generates fear, that isn't already present reading the news about Delta..... OH NO I MiGHT HAVE TO GET ANOTHER SHOT!!! MOMMMY!!!! PLEASE NO!!!!! THEY HURTS ME!!!

I have asked the same question before and there is never an answer. Maybe you'll do better.

How many of the people who refuse to get vaccinated might be afraid of the needle? I never thought of that possibility.

He probably prayed about it. Republican Jesus is a big supporter of that.

All viruses are not 'equal.' They dont all mutate at the same rate or with the same effectiveness. Not all viruses target the same physiological systems. Not all viruses even target the same demographics in a population. It's a novel virus...the only way we had to fight it was to use the "Epidemiology playbook" until we understood it better. So we're reacting to the virus. We have to adapt as it does.
You demonstrate an exceedingly poor grasp of how basic science works, period, demanding answers that never change based on research. According to you, either we should never have changed our epidemiology strategy SINCE March 2020 --or-- we should have done nothing until we knew EVERYTHING about covid and THEN told people what to do.
Which one would you have recommended, since you are so critical about adapting to actual covid epidemic reality?

Maybe the people that are scared are the ignorant ones that have closed their minds and refuse to listen to the experts and be flexible in adapting?

Hmm. That might be what people back in 1918 thought the first time the Spanish Flu hit their country and they survived...until it returned even more deadly as it cycled around the world a few times. 🤷

Yep. It might.

And it's a stupid, selfish view for anyone that interacts with other people at all. It flies in the face of all the medical advice from the non-nutters. It's good for hermits I guess.

Indications are that the current vaccines do not prevent people from being infected with covid, most specifically the Delta variant that developed later. This means that even if people are asymptomatic due to their own immune systems fighting off the virus, they may still be able to infect others.
This is a less common response to vaccines but we're in 'reactive mode' to a novel virus. It also means that the virus can still spread. Less so, but some. So current recommendations are to try and further reduce spread (replication) of covid by still using masks, by social distancing, by not having mass events, etc.
The more opportunities the virus has to replicate, the more opportunities it has to mutate into new variants...which are unpredictable...they can be more transmissible and/or more virulent. It's in all our best interests to reduce the spread of the virus as much as possible to minimize the development of more dangerous variants.
The faster the virus is truly shutdown, the faster life and the economy can go on more normally. As we now have proof...half-measures, eagerness to appease the public, unrealistic expectations in giving people too much credit for being responsible, and ignorance only prolong our reaching this goal.

It's incredible that your 'view' is so prevalent...but obviously that doenst make it right. I hope you read the above and at least consider it. I've saved a number of my arguments to save time...but my tolerance for this kind of selfish ignorance is becoming less and less. Your misguided 'choices' can affect other people's lives...and **** the economy over even worse.

If you wont think of other people...think of the economy

That's from June 8. We've learned a shitload more since then. At that point, millions of Americans still hadnt even been fully vaccinated.

You can't get a booster unless you are fully vaccinated so you just will have to wing it. Good luck with that. Make a will.

It was inevitable. Once vaccinations slowed to less than 70% the virus stayed in the community and mutated. Those who refused vaccinations condemned us to two more years of masks and lock downs and deaths.

You mean if not for the vaccine the earth population would die? LMAO

This "science" shows significant increases in antibodies when previously infected individuals got vaccinated.

Overall, we found that individuals previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 developed vaccine-induced antibody responses after a single dose of the BNT162b2 (Pfizer–BioNTech) mRNA vaccine that were similar to antibody responses seen after a two-dose vaccination course administered to infection-naive individuals.

What have we learned that contradicts that study? Answer: Nothing. The fact remains that those who have had the virus now have a natural immunity that is equal to or better than what you get from the vaccine. Demanding that those who have natural immunity from Covid get vaccinated is anti-science.

Why isnt this the official stance of the CDC and the Biden administration then?

Wrong. Since then we've learned that it's more prevalent that vaccinated people can be infected, not show symptoms, and still spread it. We've learned that the vaccine's design was focused on stopping sickness (good, that's proper) but apparently didnt target receptors that prevented infection (it's much more complicated...but I doubt you'd care.) Because MRNA vaccines work differently than other vaccines. Previously posted:
