I think a some of the martyrdom is due to the race of the Officer and a lot of it is due to her race. Had she been male, this would not have the same level faux outrage. You are here referring to her as a "lady". "Ladies" do not engage in violent sedition.

The door was barricaded, the insurrectionists were breaking the down the door/smashing out the windows/trying to climb through while an Officer was pointing a gun at them and telling them to cease.

The money should have came out of Trump's pocket since he was reason she was there. In no country on earth can you violently storm that nation's capitol and not face potentially deadly force. Babbitt unfortunately, by all appearances, had significant mental issues to the point of psychosis. She would have never been there and would likely be alive today had Trump not spent months lying to her about the results of the election. Her death is entirely his fault and any money awarded to her family should have came from his pocket, not the taxpayers.

In what nation on earth, can you violently storm that nation's capitol and not face potentially deadly force? Name the country where you can do that.

Babbitt was a highly disturbed individual. Her death is a tragedy because she likely wasn't of sound mind. Had Trump not spent months lying to her about the election, she would have never been there and would likely be alive today. If you actually care about her life, you would blame the man responsible for hear death, Donald Trump.

Seems like there's an adequate number of fruitcakes celebrating her death. It's a tragedy as you said, she was having some big personal issues prior to this. I don't all support storming the capital. And Trump definitely had a major influence in what happened. Still, The only reason to shoot her virtually point blank like this was to make a point with the rest of the crowd.

I always felt this gentleman's take on this incident and everything else that was going on at the time parallels my thinking.
