Fake videos & conspiracies fuel falsehoods about Los Angeles protests

You've made my point. You and hapless CA Dems are helpless to handle the situation in L.A. so let's distract the audience by bringing up something that happened four years ago.
Good tactic.

JAN6! JAN6! JAN6! JAN6! JAN6! JAN6! JAN6! JAN6!
TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!

So ethics means nothing to you in a President. Got it.

If the migrants turn out to be illegal, then they are subject to deportation. What part of following federal law do you object to?
I am not a bleeding heart Liberal.
And I believe in upholding federal law.
That is what ICE officers are doing.
You must be pissed that Trump isnt going to deport the farm workers anymore.

And how could you possibly know that the more violent protester are not being paid to break the law?

Of course there are veteran Trump haters on these threads who will gladly accept the falsehood of Trump feeding misinformation about the riots in L.A.
But the millions upon millions of TV new viewers watching such violence night after night. What do you they are thinking?
Maybe Trump is paying infiltrators? His ICE agents certainly aren’t following dress code for DHS nor the law which makes people suspect they are bounty hunters not real agents.

Good quote: "This is terrible. I wish it wouldn't happen."

Those who wish that are secretly happy the national guard and Marines are in L.A. to protect ICE officers trying to do their jobs. DO you think they're in favor of the nihilist, anarchic scum burning, looting, fighting with police, and throwing Molotov cocktails?
Looting? Where?
And no one is in favor of the violence.
Maybe some of those don't appreciate the way ICE are handling the situation.
LA has seen worse with NBA and MLB championships and no NG or Marines were ever called in. LA is a tough city. The police can handle it.

Continue to ignore what the general public wants and keep listening to idiots Newsom and Bass trying to shift the blame for the violent behavior over to Trump's DHS policies.
What do the general public want?
I haven't heard anything Newsome or Bass have said, nor do I care.

It's not working. And it is a clear path to another electoral defeat for the Dems.
Clear path? Are you Nostradamus?

America voted for deporting illegal aliens and stopping the flood of migrants. That’s the law. Why is enforcing the law a bad thing while supporting criminals and rioters like Democrats do a good thing?
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You literally voted for a felon for President, yet you claim "democrats support criminals and rioters"

Looting? Where?
And no one is in favor of the violence.

Clear path? Are you Nostradamus?
I guess you don't watch enough TV news to see care burning and expensive phone stores being looted.
If you aren't keeping up with the violence being perpetrated by thugs and hooligans during the "peaceful" protest then I can't help you get a complete picture of what's going on in L.A.

A great conspiracy theory.
Why don't you start a new thread on that idea to see how many of your fellow Liberals chime in?

You must be pissed that Trump isnt going to deport the farm workers anymore.
Trump is smart enough to know that farm workers are lot more important than car washers or day laborers hanging around Lowes/HomeDepot parking lots.

There are 8500 field agents with ICE for all 50 states plus territories. Do you know what the dress codes are for agents? Even plain clothes agents have dress code requirements.

Trump is smart enough to know that farm workers are lot more important than car washers or day laborers hanging around Lowes/HomeDepot parking lots.
So why didn't he exempt them from the very beginning? Are agricultural and hospitality workers more important than day laborers who are part of the construction industry? Of course there's also the entire premise of these people being "criminals" before and are not now all of the sudden.

Trump and others in his administration have repeatedly spread the falsehood that demonstrators are paid.

A post popular on Twitter shows pallets of bricks that people are claiming Soros paid for and had delivered to be thrown at police.

There's a lot of dumb people out there and Trump is feeding the misinformation campaign.
More deflection from the traitors. When they are as bad as it's ever been, they have to constantly attack the other side (mostly with lies) to constantly deflect from their criminality, authoritarianism, anti-Americanism, anti-Constitutionalism, traitorism and treachery.

It pays to ask: "and what were we talking about before Trump sent the national guard and the marines to LA over a burnt car that the LA police were handling just fine? Before Musk and Trump made up?"

Answer: "Musk, who had access to whatever he wanted with DOGE, saying that Trump was in the Epstein files & threatening more".

I don't believe the Epstein files will ever see the light of day. They've probably been destroyed by the regime. What Epstein files?

"As demonstrations against Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids continue in Los Angeles, misleading videos, conspiracies and false claims have spread on social media. Many of the posts recycle longstanding conspiracy theories, which have often been revived during past episodes of civil unrest. Some posts have made claims that wealthy individuals engineered or financed the protests, and they have racked up millions of views online. Some posts exaggerate the unrest, using videos of past demonstrations to depict a city overwhelmed by violence. In fact, clashes since the current protests began Friday have remained largely confined to parts of Los Angeles County.

...One widely shared video of vandalized police cars set ablaze, which was posted by far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on Sunday, was originally from news coverage of May 2020 protests in response to the death of George Floyd. On the same day, a video showing people setting a Jeep on fire was described as undocumented immigrants pouring gasoline over the vehicle in Los Angeles on Saturday. However, the footage dates back to a street takeover in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood in March 2024. The old clips were shared on the same day five driverless Waymo vehicles were set ablaze during the current protests. But the recycled footage gave the misleading impression that such incidents were more frequent and widespread. On Sunday, two days before Marines were ordered to deploy to Los Angeles, old and unrelated footage falsely claimed to show them arriving. One video, which showed Marines driving to their base hundreds of miles away in San Diego County, was misrepresented as showing them entering Los Angeles....Some social media users also posted footage from a video game during the protests, making it appear that there had been a significant military escalation. A video posted on Sunday was falsely described as showing protesters firing at National Guard jets. In fact, the footage is from the tactical military simulation video game Arma 3, which has previously been used to spread misinformation.

...Darren Linvill, a professor at Clemson University and social media disinformation researcher, told CBS News said even the smartest social media users have difficulty telling old content from authentic images in fast-moving situations. "Sometimes that sort of content is spread by people who are doing it purposefully with some kind of agenda, but most often it's spread by people who just didn't understand the context that they saw it in," Linvill said."

Conflict gets clicks. Even MSM seems more likely to show a couple of people burning a car than 1000s of people protesting peacefully. As one MAGA poster pointed out to me, "it's boring."
MAGA thrives on false information and conspiracy theories.

Hint, Trump isn't smart.
He is backpedaling is all.
I realize it is difficult for anti-Trumpers to attribute a level of intelligence to anything Trump does.
You could say he is not smart.
And you could discount the fact he is a billionaire and the most important politician in the world.
And you might admit most of the population wants him to continue to remove illegal aliens from our country - with caveats of course.
And you might ignore the fact he won back the Senate; won the popular vote; maintained control of the House; and still has a majority of Conservatives on the Supreme Court.
Of course, if anyone admitted any of those realities, he/she could be considered a Trump supporter instead of someone who simply has a grasp of the obvious.
Not good for anyone who likes to visit political blogs inhabited by posters who spend most of their days trying to vilify a duly elected president of our country.

People who spend a lot of time trying to delve into Trump's mind find themselves unable to predict what he might do next. For some, that's a worthy job.
For others, it's the realization they will be surprised by his capriciousness and unpredictability.
It's a good thing for everyone Trump won't be allowed to run for a third term.

They can’t even be original, the pallets of bricks is recycled from the same bogus claims in 2020.

Like this guy, another cult45/47 darling with close to a million followers, who they get their info from.

Now there's a fun fact I never thought I would know.
The ICE agents I saw on TV looked like they were dressed for combat given the anger of the mob throwing cinder blocks, Molotov cocktails, rocks, and fireworks.
To me, that's more important than worrying about their dress code while trying to do their jobs.

It's actually not that unpredictable at this stage and for anyone paying attention. What's clear is he doesn't have plans, just ideas that he then improvises on how to implement, and that can be subject to change depending on who gets his ear. That's why much of what he does is seen as chaotic.

Here's @Taylor doing it.

If I was the Commander-in-Chief worrying about Russia, Iran, and China, the last thing I would do is telegraph my intentions to the world as to what I would do next.
Why give your enemies time to prepare and retaliate?
