"Everyone welcome" is now unacceptable.

No I didn't contradict myself you just assumed that I agree with blue lives matter it's the same as black lives matter.

Did you know all lives includes black and blue and red and purple and green and orange and everything else?

Black and blue are exclusive.
No they are not. It’s not “Only Blue/Black Lives Matter.” Implied in the message is the notion that some people have demeaned cops or Blacks unfairly.

Ignorance. Black lives excludes all others.

No he was sucking up.
Good to know that you have an insight into both social movements and my son’s character.
No they mean only those lives matter and nobody else.

All lives matter is the only way you can have an also.

Yes I get that there are people that prefer One race over the other when it comes to beauty and that's fine. I excluded entire sex when I talk about beauty.

There is no such thing as black history.
More disingenuous comments. There is Black history just like there is Mormon history, women’s history, the history of the Roman or British empires, etc. Should the film “Glory,” about a Black regiment in the Civil War, not have been made?
Yes getting supremacy movements to compensate for an inferiority complex is a pretty standard thing I think that's why people join the manosphere and the ku Klux Klan.
My mention of the Civil War may provide a clue to how we seem to be talking past one another. Southerners tended, in the past at least, not to call it the Civil War, but The War Between the States. That was reflective of their view that the USA was not fighting sort of against itself, akin to a domestic dispute, but that the war was a conflict involving various quasi-independent entities. I read somewhere that before that war, the phrase was “The United States are.” After, it was what we use today, “The United States is,” if true reflecting a change in consciousness of what the USA us.

That difference might explain our different interpretations of the intent of the BLM slogans. Mine is “Black/Blue Lives (also) Matter,” with yours being Black/Blue Lives (only) Matter.” We each insert a different modifier, believing that our own us obviously understood as the intent of the phrase, this based on our biases.

sounds intolerant :)

I am super MF intolerant when it comes to that asshole, with plenty of reason behind it.

I'm also not someone you would entrust to teach your kids, if you don't want them to feel the same... lol

But, of course, we're not talking about me here, nor are we talking about you. Neither of us should be teachers... lol At leat, not for little kids.

Would you agree with what I defined as my options, though? You asked a question, I answered it... Thoughts?

Nope. I'll just wait for more information to be known. I'm sorry that concept eludes you.
From where?

You already said you can't trust the "media", so I asked you if you were going to directly contact the teacher.

crickets

Are all lives black or blue? If not then they're excluded.

I don't for a minute think you believe the crap you're saying. I think you're repeating woke propaganda for the purposes of what woke is all about.

Hey, I love you too, bud, now come on. I'm Canadian, so long as you're not trying to bend us over, we kinda have to love everybody.

And I heartily agree with your position. In fact, I would suggest that those with problematic / hateful / exclusionary / intolerant views, irrespective of which "side" they claim, should be most welcome, as the classroom would have rules that would prevent their ugly from getting on anyone else, and hopefully they learn a better way.

I remain curious about your observation, but since you clearly don't want to share it, beyond saying you had it, well, i guess I'll just have to be curious. Maybe next time don't throw your line out if you don't want to catch a fish. ;)

I think I neglected to respond to this post, and I apologize for that. You wrote it in good faith, and I don't like leaving those sort of posts hanging.

Okay, you agree with my position. That's fine. In fact, I would agree with what you further suggest about that position.

I don't see what your curiosity about my observation entails. Did you not see some who claimed that they read an "except" in that poster? "Everyone is welcome, except...."? It continues right through to the present, so I don't see why my observations of the specifics are so important.

I do resent your insinuation that I was trolling. Which post of mine was the Genesis of this trolling, would you say?

hehe...my guy, one thing about me, I'm ADHD AF. I took the offramp from this conversation a few miles back, I'm in a whole different area code right now. It's ok, I'm no longer curious, and ready to move on. Sometimes it's like that here... shit starts out all fireworks and fascinating, only to fizzle for some random reason.

I will respond to your thing about trolling, though. Are you referencing my comment about lines and fish? That wasn't me saying you were trolling. Rather, the comment that started all of this (the line) was rather cryptic and vague, practically begging for either requests for clarification or misrepresentation (the fish). If that's not the "fish" you were after, being a little more clear and concise would have probably saved all three of us a bunch of typing...lol...

Hope that clears things up, bud... you can simmer down over there now. ;) "Which post of mine was the Genesis of this trolling, would you say"... lol I can practically envision you sharpening your knives over there. Stand down! :)

It's just that my first post to @NolanVoyd was simply informing him that he was using the same argument being used by those he was arguing against. If anything, it might have been helpful. If someone wants to mix it up though, I'm usually good with that, and Nolan seems always ready to try me.

So far as another thing, I have a 6 year old grandson with ADHD. So damn bright but so hard to get him to focus. But when he does- which he does when it is something he likes or is "different". Or sometimes, something I say will set him off with question after question. It's....an experience with him every day. I guess I'm just saying, you don't have to explain that to me.

So it's good with me if you want to take the loss and bow out.

j/k I kinda lost interest awhile ago too.

It's boring when everyone agrees with you.

Ha, right on, he's going to be awesome, you're going to get to know a pretty complex person, if you learn how to see the world the way he does. :) Good luck keeping up...and forgive him for what's going to happen to him in his teen years...hehe... Like, get it over with and forgive him now.

So it's good with me if you want to take the loss and bow out.

You MF!!! 🍻 lol

Oh look, another leftist outrage thread based on fabricated bullshit.

How quaint.

Silly arguement

Tolerance doesn't require one to tolerate intollerence.
Democrat doublespeak. They are never intolerant because anyone who disagrees is labeled intolerant.

No, it's double speak to say tolerance requires one to be tolerant of intolerance.

That is a horrible sign for young kids to see because it implies that only her classroom is safe and that America is a horrible place.

I would have had this traitor arrested if it were up to me.

If she hates America so bad she can get the **** out.
Upworthy is a radical LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+1&5 site. They aren't even in the same universe as "credible."

After reading through the comments on this thread, it only re-enforced to me how completely bonkers a particular group of people have become.

This is nuts. If I decide to lay out a "everyone welcome" mat at my door and you get spooked by that, you need to give your head a serious shake.

OH, but that is NOT the issue, it is because it is being done in a public school. OMG, the horror, "everyone welcome" is not ok in a public school but the same group of mindless minions now want the ten commandments posted in public schools.

To make this discussion even more nauseating, read the comments from members of that particular group of whiny crybabies, and you will see nothing by small-minded, insecure, and whiny attitudes. It's always the same group of people too.

And it doesn't end there, as soon as they are challenged they become petulant and insulting, so I expect the same response from that group to this comment.
