Well said, I remember all of those shows. Where mom served dinner in a dress and heels and dad sat down with a suit on and the kids didn't speak unless spoken to.

IF and AS Many white people "Grew Up" with the media crafted culture imagery which by fact became an Indoctrinating, framework they emulated of the early movies and TV show.. and IF and As they think that to be a Good Time in America, they unfortunately engage a selfishness that blinds them to the fact it was not the same for Non White People.
IF and AS they seem to want to recreate it, Their agende is convoluted, because just as that period existed, today, they still don't want to ensure that the same attributes, opportunities and equality of treatment is "inclusive of non white people" to have the same.
Since White People came to America they have been "discriminating", they have been promoting "white nationalism of wealthy white male dominance" and they engaged every "inhumane atrocity" they could conjure up, and they destroyed so many lives, and then step back and want to claim themselves civic and civil, moral and of spiritual God based values... while they violated every principles that supports every value of God based truths.
They have been unable to see themselves, because they have been groomed and even still today, to emulate the imagery fictions they see in the media shows. and many of those shows still project predominantly "white characterizations" that are not all inclusive of America's Multiracial, and Multiethnic society. Too many shows still project women, in script containment roles, and many shows omit, Asian, Mexican, Arab and Blacks and Others, in the same character light.
We see the controversy some make of non white people, playing certain character in film. As if white people think only white people should play certain roles.
Day time Soap Opera's are predominantly whites people, and the theme of the shows are always about, adultry, blackmail, back biting, corruptions of any sort, swindles, and emotional abuse games and etc... wraped in people walking in attire that is not common in the reality of life within the home.
You turn on the lifetime moves and its the same script. Yet, they can't see how the "themes of these shows" has nothing to do with true civic civility, it about cunning and manipulations and other antics.
They can't see beyond it,
because the incessant promotion of these themes that put this front and center in both overt and subliminal messaging. Look at the white people that became obsessed over the shows like "Friends", which was cast as if black and other non white people did not exist, the same with "Cheers", and the same with 'Melrose Place", the same with shows like "Dallas" and the list goes on and on.
Even these insidious shows like Bachelor and etc... still potray women as some sniviling emotional and vanity obsessed provocateer" with over-embellished sexual posturing. Nothing, of Character, Nothing of Integrity, and Nothing of women who have Career Aspirations. Just women "obsessing over men" like they are desperate and can't function beyond trying to "entice a man" through undermining and playing competetive games against each other.
They think its "entertainment" but its a form of still promoting the old stereotypes of the past with a newly decorated set with new revealing costumes.
Then they won't why the viewership, can't sustain a relationship in real life..... and people end up abusing each other based on these unreal expectations, and months laters, find out they did not even know the person, they obsessed over, nor did they even know themselves, beyond their obsessiveness to try and create that fictional imagery.
People think Violent Video Games are Damaging, which in some ways they are, as damaging as these shows on the impressions and invested focus that people put into what they "ingest".
What people do, influences who and how they become to be who they are.
