Eric Adams will save NYC from that communist!

He won with RCV in the demorat [sic] primary and NYC is very ‘blue’.

The number of people in the race is not important was my point.

And considering that he is apparently a polarizing figure, I would say if he were not very close to 50% + 1 in the first round, he is in trouble. I doubt the Republican voters are going to rank him second.

I love how Republicans latched on to a corrupt Democrat because Trump pardoned him or whatever.

IMHO, many Adams or Cuomo (first choice) voters will rank Mamdani higher than Sliwa.

What exactly is he proposing that will destroy NYC's government?
Raising taxes on the wealthy.

Of course, they don't mind paying more when the price of an apartment or condo/co-op fee goes up. But if it's the city increasing taxes, then it's tyranny!!!

Oh, and treating poor people and minorities with respect. What a bastard!!!

Rank choice is not used in the general.

It is used in primaries and in special elections.

At this point I would choose Sliwa over Cuomo and Adams because he is simply a clown and not a corrupt clown.
Yeah, he’s a bit of a clown but I believe he genuinely loves the City and its people.

That is by far a better place to start than where either Adams and Cuomo are coming from.

The ones crying will be New Yorkers when socialism destroys their city government.
Anyone who thinks a city government can make socialism happen doesn't know how socialism works, or how city government works.
Or both, maybe.

As usual, the Right has its marching orders, and so they all parrot what they're told to. Facts be damned.

Too bad. I'd love to get rid of the primaries.

Trump is not as anti-socialist as you think.

Trump is a NYC liberal who is on record supporting wealth taxes, universal healthcare, and gun confiscation sans due process.

Trump doesn’t support anything but whatever he thinks will get him ahead at a given moment. He is the perfect model of a capitalist billionaire: his sole interest is himself.

so was Reagan until he decided to run for the presidency and needed the help of crazy ultra-right loony religious conservatives!
