If people want to vote they should have to prove they are eligible to vote. If they don't want to vote, which many don't, then they are not required to get an ID. But, seriously, who the hell doesn't have an ID? Really.

These people need ID for many things such as collecting benefits, buying alcohol, having a job, and any number of things. To claim that people cannot afford an ID is just biased liberal bull**** talking points. If you don't have an ID more than likely it is because you are an illegal and shouldn't be voting in the first place. EVERYONE has an ID.
What eligibility criteria are you do specifically concerned about?
Voting is a right and that right cannot be infringed once we are registered. People's citizenship is vetted when we are registered so we don't have to prove that we are valid voters again at the polls.
The fact that there is virtually no voter fraud that would be eliminated with a photo ID seems to be beyond your understand because you have been convinced by the GOP that vote fraud is rampant. It is obvious to me that the people who accept this lie from republicans about voter fraud do not work in the manufacturing industry because the level of vote fraud is lower than what is necessary for a corporation to achieve ISO9001 quality certification. It many cases it approaches and even archives 6-Sigma certification that many companies spend millions on a year to achieve. These people who accept this lie are obviously ignorant of even the most basic concepts of statistics because the vote fraud that exists are statistical fliers that cannot be accurately addressed without disenfranchising many more voters, which is exactly the goal of the GOP because they know that the people who don't have photo IDs are not likely to vote for them, as well as the fact that when more people are able to cast a vote the conservatives on the ballot are less likely to win. Republicans don't want people to vote and this is why they are adamantly opposed to mail-in voting which makes it easier for registered voters to cast a ballot.

So, you are saying that everyone should be able to vote, whether they are allowed to or not. There are no requirements, including age. A bunch of 17 year olds could vote, claiming they are 18 but don't have an ID.
