No me dame estas "Guerra", bull****, mi amigos! Have you no memoria of what it's like to be riding high on righteous fury? Estas Terroristas, no son una threat to the united states, El Estados Unidos, o anyone else!

I understand they bombed our towers. Sí asiara, mi amigos. But... terrorism is not a war. They will not invade our country. They won't take cities and conquer territory.That's not what they want.

You see, a terrorist in the middle east doesn't care about the U.S. What he wants is control of his home country, in the middle east. And he does that by winning the support of his people. Nothing will drive the people to the terrorist camp more than by occupying the middle east! Blowing up their buildings with bombs, and guns, and destructive power. The only thing that teaches the middle east is that we are exactly what the terrorists say we are.

You see, terrorism thrives in the middle east because the terrorists can make us out to be the enemy. And why shouldn't they, when we go over there and bomb whole villages?

How do you combat terrorism? Keep in mind, mi amigos, that this isn't about them destroying our country. It's about them winning the support of their people. The way to make that happen is to make them out to be the gueyes malas.You don't do that buy coming over and declaring war. You do that by making yourself look good in the eyes of the people.

But what did you think would happen, after centuries of hagiarse excretandarse by foreign powers?. What do you expect when you ignore an entire people, **** on them and abuse them, then leave them to their own devices?

Simply put, you'll end the war on terrorism by caring about these people. But don't make them all out to be extremist muslim fanatics. They're not. They don't really want to destroy our culture y way of life. They simply want to not be beat up at night by the polícia that's supposed to protect them.

Since it looks like healthcare is not going to pass, the least we can do is accommodate all Spanglish people (including illegals) and open up a branch debatepolitics portal!

Hey, when someone can hop the border to garner a wealth of benefits, why not throw in a place to talk politics?! It's a fundamental right given by the Constitution: "para promover el bienestar general" (Spanish for: "to promote the general welfare")

To the guy who said to go to mexico to ask these question, you should know that some international friends of mine have long reached a consensus: Foreigners tend to believe that Americans are cloth-headed idiots, who are rude, spoiled, stupid, and they are glad that america will soon no longer be the superpower.

It means they won't have to learn the language of someone they believe to be so stupid, but I digress. Anyway, I do hope you don't think that I am implying that you have, in some way, confirmed any of those beliefs. But hey, what do you care? I mean, it's not like we americans actually give a ****, or anything like that.

Interesting how you think that because I practice other languages(I haven't learned copletely either spanish or deutch), that I am being pretentious. No, I'm not being pretentious, but if I don't use the languages, I will lose them.

As for the political forum bit, I've been making posts, contributing to the political discussion, such as this one about terrorism. It's really the strangest thing, though. Everyone seems so focused on my use of language that they don't seem to care about the points I'm making.

I told the moderators, and I'll tell you: If I wanted to show off language, I would make off topic posts. I use different languages because I love them, that is all. And I would greatly apreciate it, if instead of focusing on my language, you focused on the content of my posts.

Also, just for the record, I never would have used the deutch barring the insults. So know, I'm not showing off how I know deutch. It was the fact that oxy thought I didn't know german that caused me to use it.

It isn't simply your use of other languages, nor even your mixing languages in the same post, though that is annoying enough even if you speak both languages. It is the way you quickly got on your high horse and looked down your nose when criticized about it.

Clear communication is important. To communicate clearly you must speak in a language that the majority understand, or else have a translator do so for you. Changing languages repeatedly in the same post makes it worse. For some of our posters, English is a second language and difficult enough for them without being sprinkled with Espanol, which they may not speak at all, so you're making things harder for some of our European members. Again, this is Debate Politics forum, not Linguistics Forum.

I've been around the block a few times, bud: I know when someone is just showing off. The smug huffiness gives it away.
 
Fair enough. If I separated the spanish from the english, and provided translations in english, would that be acceptable? I understand the high horse bit, too. But understand where I'm coming from: When you are told that without speaking english, you won't be welcome... well, it's a little hard to not get on a high horse after that.

But I do apreciate this. I probably shouldn't have mixed the spanish and english together.

One more thing: I tend to take things a bit literally. Have a hard time with social cues, so I tend to assume different things from others. But would you believe me if I told you that the idea of having a common language like english, with other languages, might promote those who are interested too look at the languages more closely if they want to?

Well never mind that. You seem to be able to speak spanish, so, to you: Lo siento mucho, pero continue hablar español con traduccíonnes de english. I regret it much. But I would like to continue to speak spanish with translations of english.

Please use a better translator or at least correct the spanish when it gives it to you wrong.

It is obvious you don't beleive that, the terrorists just want love. How dumb is that?

The war is to remove the terrorists from any country where they can make it their home.

When they have a base of operations they can plan and carry out more attacks on the US. Do you not understand that?

"I know" in English is not "aprendo" it is "Yo se". It doesn't make sense the other way.

¿Cual es tu primer idioma? Si quieres practicar español, hay muchas lugares por eso.

By the way I live in Mexico and I don't know anybody that think Americans are stupid in any way. (Just as a side note, I have never talked to anybody here that supports Obama, so I am not sure why they are always talking about international support and love.)

They think they are all rich and rightly so. "Poor" people in the US have flat screens, 2 cars, computers, floors in their houses, shoes for their children, and money for school books.

One thing I admire about the Spanish language is that I can say "pinche cabron" without the site filters catching it.
