El Salvador’s President Says He Won’t Return Man Who Was Mistakenly Deported

If he's not, he probably will be in due time.
That will solve the coolest dictators and Trumps problem.
The leader of El Salvador will pay for what he has done. He WILL NOT like the consequences of his actions.

Wait for it.

Not by SCOTUS, he wasn't. They landed on "facilitate".

Also, SCOTUS deliberately recognized executive branch power over foreign affairs.
To "facilitate" his release, not his return.

That sounds like a funny response meant to appeal only to the unintelligently credulous or to those for whom truth means nothing. The man was neither convicted nor charged with terrorism-related crimes, nor does he have any terrorist affiliations.
That would be a lie

Bullshit.

Stop tellings lies.

He was ORDERED.

DO NOT LIE FOR TRUMP.
Unfortunately, @gbg3 is right. The SCOTUS order was "facilitate" not "effectuate"..... which amounts to little more then being ordered to "give it the ole college try". The SCOTUS can't stand up for what is right because at this point Trump would simply ignore them and their illusion of relevance and power would be exposed. Many of the SCOTUS decisions over the last year have been incredibly weak, essentially re-writing the constitution to justify Trump and maintain the appearance of relevance.

The SCOTUS, however, are fools as well given that their being exposed as irrelevant is inevitable. It is only a matter of time. When they are ultimately exposed they will have even less power than they do today, because then all of us will see they have been neutered. The might as well go to war to the White House now when that at least have a couple of arrows in their quiver.

He does, he just does not want to follow the law.

He thumbed his nose at the SCOTUS. Now the only option we have is his removal from office.

Who's gonna do that? Congress certainly wont impeach him.

Trump needs to serve hard time for what he has done. Unlawfully deporting an innocent man is not an official act. Trump CAN and WILL be held accountable for that.

He's not going to be held accountable for anything. Esp for this...this was an official act of his office. He's immune to any prosecution. How would he be held accountable? Who would do that?

If the country to whom we are shipping prisoners (supposedly) won't give them back, then that should put to rest the legal question of whether we are just paying El Salvador to temporarily hold our prisoners for us, or whether we are deporting people without due process.

I see.

Well ... then ...

All right-wing people need to be removed from government office, and they need to be held accountable for their bad behavior.

The useless racists lying Catholic sacks of fecal matter on the SCOTUS need to be removed from office and they need to be held ABSOLUTELY ACCOUNTABLE for what they have done.

That was never in doubt. The only people raising that doubt were the fascists in the Trump Administration and their right-wing media toadies.

Why? Trump, probably, promised him a lot of American taxpayers money to go towards him. It makes perfect sense for him to do that...it's all about the money.
Some people are all about the money.

Some people think that $54 per day per person is not worth throwing away the rights of legal residents or American citizens.

El Slavador disagrees, it seems. But they appear to be run by idiots.

2027. Count on it.

Deporting an innocent man and leaving him to die IS NOT an official act.

Yup. But now there is objective evidence for the courts to consider.

Oh, so he is a terrorist then? Prove it, Eriech.
His association "with" was proven to the lower courts satisfaction, was it not?

Nope, he doesn't. He's been a scofflaw all his life, now he's doing it at SCOTUS level.
Your reply is idiotic.

Not having to do so, is following the law.

They want to establish the precedent.

The United States is set to pay El Salvador $6 million to imprison 300 alleged members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang that it deports to the Central American country, for one year, the Associated Press reported on Saturday, citing an internal memo.
"El Salvador confirms it will house these individuals for one (1) year, pending the United States’ decision on their long term disposition," AP quoted a memo from El Salvador's Foreign Ministry as saying.

“I would point out that is pennies on the dollar in comparison to the cost of life and the cost it would impose on the American taxpayer to house these terrorists and maximum security prisons here in the United States of America.” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at her regular briefing Monday.

In a social media post over the weekend, El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele said the U.S. "will pay a very low fee" for his country to house the migrants, "but a high one for us."

It's about the money. Shocking.
And the cruelty. Shocking to those who are moral and ethical. Not shocking that the Felon-in-Chief is participating in such cruelty.

You really dont get this do you? Even if true, what good is waiting until 2027 going to do

And the order to deport these men was an official act of his office. So his ignoring the courts now is meaningless...Doesnt matter if the acts is illegal or unconstitutional. What part of this dont you understand? He wouldnt need immunity if the acts were legal.

No. I only read that he was denied asylum but there was a stay of removal. I have not read anywhere that a court found he had a terrorist background or affiliation. Please cite me the source if I am mistaken.
